Our Year 6 pupils had an unforgettable adventure at Little Canada on the Isle of Wight. From scaling climbing walls and conquering abseils to paddling canoes and bouncing into action with aero ball, they embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and teamwork. A fantastic trip filled with laughter, confidence-building, and memories to last a lifetime beyond the classroom!

We’re proud to share some fantastic swimming success! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️
Competing in the Swimming Junior Super League at Hurst College, Windlesham finished an impressive 3rd overall out of 5 schools — a great achievement and one we’re excited to build on.
There were also standout individual results. In the girls’ category, Elodie and Olive placed 5th and 6th out of 62 swimmers. In the boys’, Daniel 4th, Joe 3rd, and Jack an incredible 1st out of 59 swimmers!
A huge well done to all our swimmers for their effort and team spirit — we’re so proud of you all!

We’re really proud to share some fantastic rugby news from Joe this weekend!

Joe plays for Hove RFC U11s, who competed in the LooseHeadz Future Stars Festival in Hemel Hempstead. Out of 20 teams, they reached the Plate final, where Joe scored two tries in a brilliant 6–1 win — making them the youngest Hove team ever to win a trophy!

The team also achieved full marks for fair play, recognising their effort, respect and teamwork throughout the day.

If anyone wants to play rugby outside of school, Hove are very welcoming of new players when the season starts again in September, with age groups starting from under 5's.

Welcome Back to Summer Term!🌞

What a fantastic first week back we've had! Our students have been busy with hands-on learning across all year groups:
Year 3 explored Ancient Egypt during their Wow Day.
Year 4 celebrated Africa through baking, crafts, and cultural activities.
Reception enjoyed spring walks and are developing independence, even choosing their own lunch!

KS2 dived into Shakespeare’s works with creative projects.

We’re excited for the term ahead and all the learning, fun, and growth to come!

🏆 National Win for Windlesham Writers! 🐘✍️

We’re incredibly proud to share some fantastic news from our Year 5 pupils. After taking part in the 'Give Nature a Voice' national writing competition, organised by The Natural Curriculum and launched by Chris Packham, our talented writers in 5OD were crowned National Winners, beating Year 5 classes from across the UK.

Inspired by a BBC nature clip of elephants crossing the Okavango Delta, Rosie, Sophia and Thomas impressed judges with writing described as “truly outstanding”, praised for capturing the atmosphere and mood of the stunning visuals.

Their work is now published on The Natural Curriculum website, and the school has won £150 in prize money, with our young authors deciding how it will be spent.

A huge congratulations to our Year 5 pupils on this exceptional national achievement 🌿✨

🎨 Year 4 at Tate Modern 🇬🇧

What a fantastic day in London! Year 4 had an inspiring visit to Tate Modern, seeing artworks in real life that they’ve been studying in class; especially the bold, colourful and expressive work of Henri Matisse.

The children explored the gallery with curiosity and confidence, discussing their favourite pieces and using impressive artistic vocabulary to talk about shape, texture, colour and composition. We were incredibly proud to hear gallery staff and members of the public praise their engagement, manners and behaviour; wonderful ambassadors for our school.

A truly memorable and inspiring trip. Well done, Year 4! 🌟
