Child'Space Brighton

Are you looking for a small, friendly movement class where your baby learns to roll over, creep, come into and move out of sitting? Where slight difficulties, preferences and delays can be observed and then addressed?

We are planning a half price (£6.50) baby movement taster session for ages 2-4 months on Monday 15 December at Unit 4, Brighton from 10.30-11.30. I will convey what these sessions can offer babies and their parents; how we follow the babies' development and how as parents you can learn to support it with touch and gentle, guided movements.

Such a lovely experience to follow this baby group's development from 2-11 months; through rolling, creeping, crawling, sitting, coming to stand, cruising and now almost walking. So many little steps and discoveries in between. I very much appreciated the parent's curiosity and wholehearted involvement in this process. Good luck to everyone for the future!

We are looking to form a new movement baby group for ages 2-4 months. We will meet weekly on a Mon or Wed morning for a one hour class over 5 weeks at Unit 4 in Round Hill Street, Brighton. The parents learn to support their baby's sensory-motor development through touch and guided movement in a stimulating and nurturing environment. At this age the babies will explore being comfortable lying on their back, sides and tummy and starting to look at and reach for toys amongst other activities.
It is a lovely way to spend time with your baby and will foster bonding and secure attachment. It is also a space to meet other parents and ask questions about your babies development.

What a pleasure to start a new Child’Space course with very young babies (2-3 months). The parents learn to observe and support their baby’s sensory-motor development with touch and guided movement. At present the babies explore being comfortable lying on their back or belly and slowly learn to shift their weight to the right and left in preparation for later rolling. We further encourage the babies to look at a rattle, to follow it with their eyes or even attempt to reach for it.
We also sing songs and use rhythms and selected toys. The classes are a great way to spend time with your baby and foster bonding and secure attachment.
