Gelli baff play!
The children enjoyed exploring the magic Gelli play. The children watched closely as we used the magic crystals to turn the gelli into liquid. We had lots of descriptive language from this such as “Gooey, slimely, slippery, squidgy, incredible”.

We created our very own rock pool

Taking care of the nursery garden 🪴
At Starlings we encourage the children to take care of our environment. The children really enjoy watering the flowers and planting new seeds 🌸

We are learning about the life cycle of frogs. We are so lucky that we access to tadpoles. We took a look at them and we’re so surprised when we saw a frog 🐸

As well as us having optional uniform we encourage our families to put their children in clothes they don’t mind getting messy. The more messier, the more fun 😉

We are supporting our children’s pencil grasps, recognition and letter formation.
We have adapted our activity for our 2year olds and for our 3+ year olds. The two year olds have got patterns to trace over as well as the option of their names and the 3+ children have got their name cards to find so they can trace over or copy the letters in their names.

We are helping to prepare our 4 year olds for school. This week we are looking at letters and phonics. The children really enjoy sand play so we thought by adding letters into the sand this will encourage more interaction with letters. We have also been looking at our letter of the week Ss during group time.
