Meet the committee 2021-2022 💪

Hey, I'm Mo 🚀your BSMS 🧬 Rep for the year! I'm a medical student intercalating in Medical Research 👨‍🔬 and I'm really excited for this year! My favourite thing about SciSoc 🤩 is seeing how many emojis I can fit in this description 😱 as well as events that share how we can build on simple things to create new concepts 🏠and how those achievements affect the everyday things we take for granted-- and oh yeah, I like how the other committee members are pretty cool too, I guess 😉😎

Meet the committee 2021-2022 💪

Hello ;-) I’m Liri, this year’s Life Sciences Representative and 1st year Neuroscience student. Being on the SciSoc committee gives me the perfect opportunity to research and discuss scientific developments in theories about the world and ourselves - and its practical applications. I’m quite looking forward to engaging with world-renowned speakers and propagating their contributions to their respective fields, and, ultimately, contributions to society amongst the Sussex community and beyond.

Hi, I’m Leona and I am the events coordinator for SciSoc this year! I am a third year Biomed Student at Sussex. Being a part of the society has helped me to meet likeminded people and discover scientists and research that I may have otherwise not heard of. It’s important to keep up to date with what’s current across all sciences. SciSoc allows us to go a step further, meeting pioneering researchers and professionals to hear their unique insights!
