Thank you so much to everyone who came to our My Hair, My Heritage event. A special thank you to the Photography Project, Dan Stanley at PEG Hair, Katie Erdwin for her fabulous braiding workshop and our wonderful parent volunteers for their support.

Such a fantastic atmosphere, celebrating and admiring all the amazing hairstyles. Raffle prize winners to be announced soon - stay tuned!

What an amazing World Book Day at Hove Learning Federation!!

Our schools were full of incredible costumes, favourite characters, and a real love for stories. It was so special seeing everyone bring books to life and share their enthusiasm for reading.

Days like this remind us of how powerful books can be. They spark imagination, creativity, and curiosity. The effort everyone put into their costumes and activities made it a truly memorable day!

Thank you to all the staff, families and pupils who helped make it such a fun and inspiring celebration. We hope today has inspired everyone to pick up a new book!

🥣🌍 Bowls of Belonging 🌍🥣

We are so proud of our Bowls of Belonging event, which brought together students and families from across our federation to celebrate food, culture, and community. Families shared recipes for their favourite meals, helping us create a wonderful community cookbook filled with dishes that mean so much to our school communities.

We then enjoyed a fantastic cookbook launch event, where parents and carers who contributed recipes came along to share their food, stories, and smiles. There was plenty of delicious food and a real sense of togetherness throughout the event.

✨ Year 4 Yellow Creativity on Display at Portland Road! ✨

Our Year 4 Yellow class, part of our Juniors at the Portland Road School site, have been busy designing these fantastic monster characters as part of their English description writing this term. 👹✏️

The illustrations really showcase the impressive mark-making skills, imagination, and attention to detail the children have developed — each monster has its own unique personality! We’re so proud of their creativity and effort.

Our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children at School Road have all enjoyed their class Christmas parties, full of fun, games and treats. As a special highlight, our Reception children were also treated to a fantastic visit from Mr Pineapple Head the entertainer, who filled the hall with laughter and amazement. A wonderful way to celebrate the season! 🍍⭐

What a fantastic performance!

Our Juniors Choir gave a wonderful performance, singing beautifully and representing our school with confidence and joy. We are incredibly proud of all the Junior children in the Choir for heir hard work, teamwork and enthusiasm. Thank you to our families for your continued support.

We're thrilled to offer 1 -to- 1 music lessons at our Portland Road site for our juniors! Whether your child dreams of playing the violin, keyboard, guitar or another instrument, our expert instructors are here to help them grow their musical confidence and creativity.

A Wonderful Violin Performance at Portland Road!

Our talented violin students at the Portland road site recently performed to a fantastic audience of Year 4 pupils and parents. The children played with confidence and focus, showing just how much progress they've made through their music lessons.

It was lovely to see our school community come together to celebrate their hard work and musical achievements - well done to all involved.

Christmas dinner was served today across the Hove Learning Federation! 🎄✨

We only managed to capture photos of our lovely infants at the School Road site, but the festive cheer was felt everywhere. A huge thank you to our wonderful kitchen staff for helping to make the day such a joyful Christmas success. ❤️🎅🍽️

🎄✨ Christmas magic arrived early at our Infant School! ✨🎄

We were delighted to welcome the wonderful team from Supply Desk to both our Holland Road and School Road sites this week. They kindly visited to spread some festive cheer among our Reception children — complete with Santa Claus and his helpful Christmas elf! 🎅🧝‍♂️

The children were absolutely thrilled, and it brought so much joy and excitement to our school community. A huge thank-you to Supply Desk for helping make this season extra special for our little ones. ❤️
