Honeycroft Community Honeycroft is a registered charity based in Hove. We believe all parents and carers have a right to Barnabas Church Hall on Sackville Road in Hove.

Honeycroft has put families at the centre of all that we do for over 35 years. Honeycroft is a registered charity established in the late 1970s. The founder, Marion Silsby, identified a need for low cost learning through play for children in Brighton & Hove. Over a period of 35 years Marion built Honeycroft’s excellent reputation; making it known in the community for integrating children with spec

ial needs, creating projects inspired by parent’s stories and responding to families’ needs. Marion developed Honeycroft into the city’s leading not-for-profit centre of play offering resources, guidance and support for children, their families and the wider community. In 2016 Marion retired and her youngest daughter, Natasha, stepped up to continue her work. Today, Honeycroft’s activities have grown to offer a range of services based at St. These include:
• nursery
• two-year-old unit
• crèche
• holiday club for children for Primary School aged children
• community coffee shop and children’s shop
• space and partnerships to run learning and leisure classes for all the family. In addition to the range of services on offer, Honeycroft continues to uphold the original ethos of learning through play and access for all.

Please Help Honeycroft Win £1,500!
We have some exciting news!

Honeycroft has been selected to take part in the Tesco Stronger Starts customer vote. If we receive the most votes in our area, we will be awarded £1,500 to create a calming outdoor Secret Garden for some of our older children.

This special space will provide a peaceful place where children can relax, regulate their emotions, connect with nature and enjoy creative outdoor play. It will make a real difference to the children who benefit from a quieter, nurturing environment.

How to vote
It's quick and easy!

Shop in one of the Tesco stores listed below.
Buy anything – there is no minimum spend.
You'll receive one blue voting token at the checkout.
Pop your token into the Honeycroft voting box as you leave the store.
Every single vote counts and could make the difference between receiving £500, £1,000 or the top award of £1,500.

Voting is open from August until the end of November 2026.

Please ask your family, friends, neighbours and colleagues to vote too. The more people who support Honeycroft, the greater our chance of creating this wonderful space for our children.

Congratulations on your retirement after 18 amazing years.
It's hard to find the words to thank you for everything you've meant to so many families, especially mine. You didn't just care for my Oli—you loved, encouraged, supported him, giving me the greatest peace of mind any parent could ask for. That is a gift I will carry with me forever. Your kindness, compassion, and gentle heart have touched countless lives of little ones at Honeycroft, and the difference you've made will never be forgotten. You leave behind so much more than memories—you leave a legacy of love, care and cuddles. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You will be deeply missed, and I wish you a retirement filled with all the happiness and love you've given to others over the years. Love Sonila x
