That’s summer school 2026 over and out!
We took 41 children aged 4-16
Mixed them together at a top drama school for 6 days
Opened the scripts blind on day 1 for a full read through
Cast the show and started to rehearse on day 2
Held a Casting Workshop with a top West End Casting Director on day 3 followed by a PTC group trip to The Lion King, with 70 students, parents and staff!
Ice-cream treat day on day 4
Full rehearsal day on day 5 and into the theatre
Lost one of our leads to cover on his UK tour! (Dexter) and so our superstar Max (finals for many shows) stepped in!
Dress and tech and show on Day 6!
Added into the mix:

Joshua: Oliver
Hannah: A Christmas Carol
Zoe: Manhunt
Finn: about to start new WE contract
And the following in recalls or finals:

Plus some great successful screen actors too!!
And as always, lots of complete beginners who gain so much from our training!
Add in a Grade 5 Production Exam award for every child, and not only did we offer an incredible industry level week, we also offered the best value for money, with several scholarship places, lots of means tested discounts, some sibling freebies and payment plans for everyone!

We also want to thank the amazing Mountview, who supported us all so well during our week in their fantastic building. How brilliant to be surrounded by other performers and industry creatives, hearing the workshopping of new musicals and seeing all the costumes for a UK tour being wheeled past! This is the best education for our young performers, who were thrilled to see Andrew Lloyd Webber make an impromptu visit too!
