The city has also just been ranked the 8th best city in the WORLD for nightlife! 🎉🧚‍♂️🪩🎊

Time Out London said, “Brighton’s legacy as the home of the UK’s LGBTQ+ nightlife scene continues to thrive… providing safe, inclusive spaces for the city’s q***r community” Beating out capital cities like Amsterdam, Beijing, Athens and Madrid, Brighton is the only UK city to appear on the list.

Thinking about studying on a Media, Arts or Humanities degree in the UK?

Wang Mingxiang studied Drama and Film Studies BA (Hons) from 2018 – 2021. Ming is now an interdisciplinary artist, performer and filmmaker based in London.

Over the quiet, summer vacation period, Ming returned to Sussex’s campus one sunny Friday morning to reflect on the time he spent here.

Since graduating, Ming has presented his work in a range of contexts including galleries across London and Europe.

Ming is currently working on a few projects and has most recently had a presentation in East London, after travelling to Slovenia last year for an artist residency.

Take a look at what it was like for Ming to study at Sussex’s leafy, green campus nestled in the South Downs, moments away from the vibrant city centre of Brighton.
