through to the national finals of UK Space Design Competition for second year running! We were partnered with and both teams worked together to produce an outstanding presentation. With two mirrors arranged at an angle of 60 degrees and an object placed between them ( a pencil sharpener in this case), how many objects do you see if you look inside?
Answer = 360/60. = 6

1200km on a 10 minute charge! That's the claim from Toyota.

Toyota is on the verge of achieving the capability to produce solid-state batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) on a mass scale, matching the pace of conventional batteries. The potential production is anticipated to commence around 2027 or 2028.

The company recently unveiled a groundbreaking development that could cut the cost and size of these batteries in half, potentially leading to a doubling of the range of EVs, reaching up to 1,200 km with a charging time of 10 minutes or less.

Toyota's collaboration with Idemitsu, a major Japanese oil company, plays a pivotal role in its endeavors to keep up with competitors such as Tesla and Ford in the EV market.

Solid-state batteries are known for offering improved safety and stability compared to traditional liquid electrolyte lithium-ion batteries and are considered crucial for the widespread commercialization of EVs.
