A taste of life on the Prep side! 😎🎉

Yesterday, our new Year 3 children enjoyed a special welcome day, getting to know life in Prep and what’s in store for them this year. Along the way, they enjoyed some forest school, cooking and a picnic lunch - with a surprise visit from the ice-cream van to finish things off! 🍦🙌

We hope you’ve all had a wonderful summer and are ready for a brand-new year at Lancing Prep Hove! 💙

A very warm welcome to all our new starters and their families - we’re delighted to have you join our Lancing Prep Hove community and can’t wait to see you settle in and make your mark.

And to our returning families, welcome back! It’s so lovely to see our school community together again as we begin another exciting year.

Here’s to new goals, new friendships, new experiences and lots of memories along the way. 🌟

Although our LPH Sports Days had to be cancelled last week due to the extreme heat, our Pre-Prep pupils still had the chance to enjoy their very own mini Sports Day yesterday☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

There were smiles, cheers, plenty of determination and, most importantly, lots of fun!

It may have looked a little different this year, but the sense of teamwork, encouragement and excitement was just the same💙

We’ve been so impressed with how our LPH pupils have embraced the sunshine while keeping their cool! 😎

From dashing through sprinklers and seeking out shady spots, to tending the kitchen garden (with the occasional refreshing splash for teachers!) and enjoying ice-cold footbaths in the classroom, there’s been plenty of calm, cheerful adaptation to this unusual spell of warm weather.

With thoughtful touches and plenty of care woven into the day, it’s been wonderful to see the children happy, comfortable and continuing to enjoy their days at school ☀️
