Skills are an important part of tackling any land based work. Sharing and teaching these skills is also valuable to those about to embark on a better land based life. Landtribe-Greenlands is looking forward to hosting our ‘Wetland Restoration Camp’ from June 22nd onwards.
It will run for two months after our solstice gathering and be our first work restoring some ponds on the wetland. We intend to increase the holding capacity of the water on the land to host the increasing wildlife.
This picture is at Future Roots in Stanmer Organics where I was teaching and making geodesic domes in a yurt. Good times!
Join us for this year’s first Solstice Gathering Sat 20th June to celebrate the wetland being saved and restored!

It was great to visit Halniker farm in Chichester with the Nature Action Network of the South Downs National Park.
I went along with Mark Beaumont and Abi Beaumont to see the work Halniker farm are doing and where they intend to take it for Nature.
Approaches on these walks have all been different which is great. We all differ, but we also all walk in a similar direction. Naturally. It’s wonderful to share knowledge without confrontations. Just share, digest and nurture.
With a habitat survey being done by Wilder Ouse with support from Sussex Wildlife Trust at the end of the month Landtribe feels a part of a changing landscape for the better. This Landtribe page is now over 10 years old! Slowly we create for the better good. Step by step.

An update from Landtribe-Greenlands! Pictures show a swarm of bees from Sarah’s hives on one of the Forest of Memories trees. A spotting of an Adonis Blue as I saw the swarm made my morning better.
This after finding my kale had been munched in the greenhouse pfff!
More security going in!
Our first Greenlands bee capture proceeded and Max now has his first colony hived. Landtribe-Greenlands Nature farm is actually a reality with a growing local community bond.
How special it feels witnessing it come to life. We’ll be opening up a Growers Club in the next few weeks for those green fingered friends.
Along with a habiat survey by Knepp Wilding Weald to Waves at the end of May and designing the structure of our Wetland pond restoration camp I’m a busy bee!
Will be updating again soon on those.
Here comes some rain too. Phew!
Sweet relief. 'The life giving water taken for granted'. Jimi Hendrix. Not here at least.
