Really important programme on tv tonight. Definitely one to watch. Black women are just over four times more likely to die during pregnancy and childbirth and up to six weeks postpartum.

I just want to start by saying how proud I am of the incredible women that have bravely shared their truth with us. Naomi, Jade, Marley, Tinuke, Clo, Rachel, Ella, Mars, Christine..
you are so inspiring.

This is SUCH an important film and part of a wide collective effort, it’s certainly a long road but it should be one we are determined to stay on until we ensure equality for EVERY woman..❤️

At the end of I wanted to show you my family and my story...
I was adopted at the age of 4 into a loving family with a big brother and sister. My big brother took to being my protector from day one. Both my parents and siblings were white, to me they were family. Later they adopted again, a 2yr old boy also black followed a few years later my other brother who my mum naturally had. We were now a family of 7. My parents chose to adopt two black children as they felt they could give us a loving family which they totally succeeded at.
We are now a family of 14 with all our kids and partners and are a very close knit family, of black, white, mixed race melting pot of love ❤️ 💕
