We're so proud to have delivered our bench to Amaze for their Story Trail around Brighton this autumn!
This special piece was a truly collaborative project. Every child in Players and Pretenders (toddlers) and Carers and Creators (over 3s) painted a leaf (they're on the back) and some children also illustrated the animal characters from the wonderful stories they had created, all set in our nursery meadow.
It's been a joy to see their creativity, imagination and teamwork brought to life, and we can't wait for families to discover our bench as part of the Story Trail.

Our okra, beans, and tomatoes are coming on nicely! The children have been busy watering and looking after everything they've planted, and it's amazing to see our beds thriving. Every little bit of care helps our plants - and our young gardeners - grow!

As we celebrate Refugee Week, this message from Mrs Bird at the Paddington Experience feels especially heartwarming.

Leaving home and setting out on a long journey can be filled with uncertainty. At Tarnerland, we use Paddington's story to remind us of the importance of kindness, welcome and being looked after when arriving somewhere new.

We're delighted to share the results of our annual staff survey, and we're incredibly proud of what they tell us about life at Tarnerland.

Our team rated all five key areas of the survey at over 4 out of 5:
✨ Role and Skills
✨ Feedback and Support
✨ Working Relationships
✨ Wellbeing
✨ Working Environment

A special highlight was our score for Working Relationships, which achieved an outstanding average of 4.69 out of 5 across the team. This reflects the kind, helpful, friendly, communicative and open culture that our staff have created together. We know the positive impact this creates for everyone – including the children and families we serve.

Thank you to our wonderful team for your honesty, dedication and commitment to making Tarnerland such a positive place to work and learn.

The weather may have been wet, but it certainly didn't dampen our spirits on our annual beach trip! From paddling in the waves, litter-picking, painting pebbles and collecting seaside treasures, to riding the iconic Volks Railway and finishing the day at Yellow Wave for a picnic and play in the sandpit, the children embraced every moment of the adventure despite the rainy skies. A wonderful day filled with smiles, laughter and memories to last forever.

Hello, my name is Recycling Rabbit and I’m here to remind everyone to reduce, reuse, and recycle!
At Tarnerland, we use toys to help model the Characteristics of Effective Learning, including ‘Have a Go Mo’, ‘Try Again Tommy’, and ‘Ideas Ivy’. Recycling Rabbit is another special friend we use as a tangible way to help children understand how to care for our world. This is just one part of our Climate Action Plan which all schools now have. You might hear us say: “Don’t forget to put it in the right bin, just like Recycling Rabbit!”
Recycling Rabbit is just one part of our Climate Action Plan, helping children learn how small actions can make a big difference for our planet.

Learning through play for National Numeracy Day on Wednesday! Board games are a fantastic way for our Carers and Creators to develop early maths skills, including counting, number recognition, turn-taking, problem-solving and strategic thinking — all while having fun together of course!
