Helping women unleash their inner twenty-something and say hello to a more confident, energetic self

18/06/2026

I will be honest. I sometimes look at the fitness world and wonder if we are measuring the wrong things.

The events. The dramatic transformation photos. The goals with a finish line and a medal at the end. And imposter syndrome creeps in and I think 'Have I got this all wrong?' Whether I am missing something.

And then I give my head a wobble and look at who is in front of me.

Women who came saying they had never been consistent with anything. Who had tried the gym, the classes, the home workouts, the apps. Who had started things and stopped things so many times they had begun to tell themselves that they were simply not the kind of person who sticks to things.

They did not come with 'social media feed' goals.

They come with 'I want to feel better. I want to feel stronger. I have never really done this before and I do not know how, but I know I need to.'

And what has happened for the women who have been training with us for a year, for two years, for three is not a dramatic transformation. It is something more interesting than that. They became people who show up. Consistently. Without stopping. For the first time.

That, as far as I am concerned, is the best goal you can have. Because it is the one that changes everything else.

Two sessions a week, every week, for a year, is over a hundred sessions. A hundred sessions is a completely different body and a completely different relationship with yourself. Not because of what you lifted. Because of who you became in the process of not stopping.

There is no only in that sentence. There is no I only managed two sessions this week.

Two sessions, done, is the whole thing.

DM us START if you want to find out what that looks like.

We track the lifts. We celebrate the PBs. We genuinely love the moment someone realises they have done something they could not do six weeks ago.

But if you asked us what we actually get most excited about... it is not that.

It is Trisha, who has been training with us for four months, telling us she was ahead of her super-fit friend on the hill last week. Not just keeping up. Ahead.

It is one of the squad who has a condition that affects her balance and her mobility. A woman who is deeply, joyfully social and for whom parties and gatherings are life. She stood and mingled for two hours last week without sitting down, without thinking about it once. That is what seven months of strength training built for her, at someone's birthday party on a Sunday afternoon.

It is the shopping. The stairs. The moment you realise you carried something heavy and only noticed because you were not out of breath.

I spoke to someone today who got in touch because they had read about one of our clients scaling their back wall when they locked themselves out. 'I want to know I can do that if I need to' she said.

These are the moments we are building toward from session one. Not just a stronger body in the gym. A different experience of being in your body in the world.

That is the point. It always has been.

DM us START if you would like to know what that could look like for you.

Monday...

The 5-Week Beginners Strength Programme starts Monday 15th June in central Brighton.

If you've been watching this and haven't quite got there... this is the last moment.

The groups are small. That's not a sales line, it's the whole reason the coaching works. And when the group is full, it's full.

If there's a space for you and you want it... DM us START today.

If the timing doesn't work this time, that's genuinely fine. We'll run it again. But if the only thing between you and starting is a decision you've been putting off... you know what to do.

Starts Monday with or without you - there is time to make it with you.

We don't stop playing because we get old. We get old because we stop playing.

That's not just a line on the wall. It's the whole reason this business exists.

At some point (school PE, diet culture, a bad experience, decades of messaging that exercise is punishment for eating) movement stops being something you do for joy and becomes something you do for debt. Calories to burn off. Weight to lose. Health problems to avoid. Exercise as a transaction.

We don't work like that.

We train to have more of the life we want. Not to earn it back.

The squad deadlifts. They carry heavy things with confidence. They walk upstairs without thinking about it. They get up off the floor without planning it. One of them danced in the streets of Brighton after lifting 100kg and wasn't even slightly embarrassed about it. (Good. She shouldn't be.)

They are in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond. They are not extraordinary. They found the right environment, showed up consistently, and their bodies responded. The way bodies do when they're given what they need.

What we stand for: strength that fits real life. Warmth over intimidation. Progress over perfection. Coaching with the person, not at them. Belonging from day one.

What we stand against: all-or-nothing culture. Fitness theatre. Generic plans for specific people. The idea that midlife is when possibility starts to contract.

It isn't.

The 5-Week Beginners Strength Programme starts 15th June. If you've been on the sidelines long enough... DM us START.

One week away.

If you've seen this before and kept scrolling... you're not the only one. Most women look a few times before they step in. That's completely normal.

But the programme starts in seven days. The groups are small by design. That's what makes them work. When they're full, they're full.

Here's what we know about the women who join.

18 joined with this programme in the last 12 months. None had lifted before. 78% are still here. Not because their lives got easier. Not because they found more time. Because what they found here made it non-negotiable.

It started with five weeks. For most of them it became the thing that changed everything else.

If something keeps pulling you back to this... listen to it.

£249. Starts 15th June. Central Brighton.

We get asked the same questions before women sign up. They're all completely reasonable. Here are honest answers to the most common ones.

"What if I'm too unfit?" Most women who join haven't exercised properly in years. We coach from the ground up. Nobody is waiting for you to catch up.

"What if my joints kick off?" We adapt movements to your body. Strength training done properly is one of the best things you can do for joints. We go slowly, keep a close eye, and listen when something doesn't feel right.

"What if everyone else is fitter than me?" Nobody here is trying to win. This is not a group where anyone is performing at anyone else.

"What if I feel self-conscious?" You won't. Really. The women in these groups are here precisely because they didn't feel comfortable in normal gym spaces. Nobody is comparing. Nobody is judging.

"What if I don't have the energy?" Energy comes back through movement, not before it. You don't need to arrive full of beans. Just get yourself through the door.

"What if I need to miss a session?" Life happens. We build in flexibility so a difficult week doesn't derail everything. Consistency matters. Perfection doesn't.

"What happens after five weeks?" A conversation about what works next. No pressure, no hard sell. Most women carry on. 78% stay for 12 months or more.

Any questions we haven't answered? DM us START and let's talk. The programme starts 15th June. Central Brighton. £249.

Every woman who walks through the door brings decades of knowing herself.

She knows what exhausts her and what restores her. She knows when she's pushing past what her body needs and when she's using tiredness as an excuse. She knows her own patterns. The ones that serve her and the ones that don't, in a way she simply didn't at 25.

That's not starting from scratch. That's starting from experience.

The 5-Week Beginners Strength Programme isn't asking you to become someone new. It's asking you to give yourself the physical foundation that helps the person you already are function better.

Stronger. More energised. More physically capable. More in control of what your body can do.

Most of the women who join us have been meaning to start for longer than they'd like to admit. They had good reasons not to. They're starting now. Not in spite of everything they've been through. Because of it.

You are not starting from scratch.

You're starting from experience.

Nine months ago, one woman joined for five weeks.

Mid-life. Demanding job. Complicated life. Constantly holding everything together for everyone else. She'd tried things before and stopped. She was nervous about that pattern repeating.

It didn't.

The changes came slowly and then all at once. She started with food. Just protein, regularly. A small habit that held. Then the training became something she looked forward to rather than made herself do. She stopped drinking. Not as a goal. It just gradually stopped making sense alongside the life she was building. She got back into clothes she'd written off. She got calmer. She started sleeping better.

Nine months in she told us training was something she genuinely loved. That it had made her stronger, calmer, and considerably better equipped to handle everything her life threw at her.

This June she's doing the Brighton to Eastbourne Mighty Hike.

A year ago, that wouldn't have crossed her mind.

She was a complete beginner when she walked in.

That's the point.

The 5-Week Beginners Strength Programme isn't for the already fit or the already motivated. It's for the woman who has finally decided to invest in herself and just needs the right place to do it.

It starts with five weeks. It rarely ends there.

Next intake: 15th June. Central Brighton. £249.

Here's what actually happens across five weeks. Not what we promise. What the squad says.

Weeks one and two: you arrive unsure. You leave thinking: okay, that wasn't what I expected. The movements are taught from scratch, at your pace. There are laughs between sets. There's that first lift in energy on the way home. The "I actually did something" feeling. Amber had already decided by week two. "I could already feel the difference and I signed up to join permanently before the end of the programme. That says it all."

Weeks three and four: something shifts. Movements feel smoother. You stop apologising for yourself. Your body begins to remember what it can do. Muscles start taking over from joints — less creaking, better balance, carrying things more easily. Claire described it this way: "It is joyful and transformative. The sisterhood is incredibly motivating and after a relatively short time I felt infinitely stronger and significantly happier."

Week five: everything feels more you again. Your body feels trustworthy. Energy lasts longer into the day. Confidence feels steady rather than fragile. The squad has become your people. You finish thinking: ah. There she is.

Jane, who had never formally exercised before starting with us at 66, said this at her five-week point: "It finally feels like me. I couldn't have imagined feeling this confident, or being where I am now in terms of strength. Also how empowering it feels to challenge assumptions about ageing and what's expected of me at my age."

Five weeks. Starts 15th June. Central Brighton. £249.

75% of women feel uncomfortable in commercial gyms.

That number has been sitting with us for a long time. Because it's not a small problem. It's not an edge case. Three in four women are walking into spaces that were never built for them and quietly walking back out again.

And yet these are the very women who most need to strength train. For their bones. For their joints. For their energy. For their long-term independence. For everything that starts to become optional if the muscle mass isn't there.

The gap between "you should be strength training" and "there is actually somewhere I can go to do it" is where most midlife women get stuck.

We built something to close that gap.

Women-only. Small groups. Private space. Coaches who are midlife women themselves. A programme designed around you, not a generic template.

The 5-Week Beginners Strength Programme starts 15th June in central Brighton. It's a proper beginning in a space that was built for you.
