I'm Julie, a French teacher based in Brighton.

I offer relaxed and interactive French lessons, with real life situations, every day expressions, cultural context and grammar as necessary! 🤓

I was born in 🇨🇭 Switzerland, where I studied French and became a teacher. I have been tutoring for over 15 years.

Also available for exam prep, school catch-up and adult beginners to conversational.

This would be a weekly space for those with basic knowledge, from school, self-taught or otherwise, to build confidence and practical language skills around everyday scenarios, role play, and key grammar background. I like to keep it fun, relaxed and entertaining, and I'm always happy to explain the tricky bits.

I'm loking into booking a room in a local venue, all I need is a few more interested to join me!

My name is Julie, I have worked as a tutor / teacher for over 15 years. I was born in Switzerland, and started tutoring when I was still in school. One of my favorite subject has always been French. It's my mother tongue, but also a subject I studied at university (language and litterature) and later went on to teach. Here in England, I have worked as a supply teacher and have teacher status (QTS). I would like to support young people with their GCSEs, home educated children or adults who wish to learn my beautiful language. Children returning to school today are facing ever so great uncertainty, with high infection rates, staff shortages, and a possible return to online learning. The past couple of years have brought significant disruption in education and missed learning over lockdowns. Teachers and students alike have had to adjust to new ways of learning. Meanwhile, many parents have come to realise that schools alone can't provide the support needed for every child to fulfill their potential.

My mission for the New Year will be to support children and adults look towards the future, whether it's GCSE exams on the horizon, or looking forward to your summer plans.

I'm a qualified French teacher, French literature & language graduate and a native speaker with over 10 years experience tutoring adults and young people at all levels. N'hésitez pas à me contacter.
