I was born in 🇨🇭 Switzerland, where I studied French and became a teacher. I have been tutoring for over 15 years.

This would be a weekly space for those with basic knowledge, from school, self-taught or otherwise, to build confidence and practical language skills around everyday scenarios, role play, and key grammar background. I like to keep it fun, relaxed and entertaining, and I'm always happy to explain the tricky bits.

My name is Julie, I have worked as a tutor / teacher for over 15 years. I was born in Switzerland, and started tutoring when I was still in school. One of my favorite subject has always been French. It's my mother tongue, but also a subject I studied at university (language and litterature) and later went on to teach. Here in England, I have worked as a supply teacher and have teacher status (QTS). I would like to support young people with their GCSEs, home educated children or adults who wish to learn my beautiful language. Children returning to school today are facing ever so great uncertainty, with high infection rates, staff shortages, and a possible return to online learning. The past couple of years have brought significant disruption in education and missed learning over lockdowns. Teachers and students alike have had to adjust to new ways of learning. Meanwhile, many parents have come to realise that schools alone can't provide the support needed for every child to fulfill their potential.

My mission for the New Year will be to support children and adults look towards the future, whether it's GCSE exams on the horizon, or looking forward to your summer plans.

I'm a qualified French teacher, French literature & language graduate and a native speaker with over 10 years experience tutoring adults and young people at all levels. N'hésitez pas à me contacter.

I'm a French teacher who specialises in tutoring and informal learning. I offer interactive lessons to support anyone wishing to learn and progress in French, at any level and age.

I have experience with the following :

• French CSE prep and confidence building towards exams
• Practical language skills for beginners, for holidays or business
• Conversation, role-play and French culture (music, tv, literature)
• Proof-reading and academic writing, for students or professionals.

I hold a MA in French Language and Literature, QTS, DBS. I have taught in Switzerland, as a teacher and tutor, as well as in English schools (Primary and Secondary Supply) and to complete beginners of all ages.

My basic rate is a standard £25/h. with discounts available when booking multiple or online sessions. I'm happy to meet virtually to discuss your needs for free. I will be offering face to face sessions in September.
