Brighton Blagss LGBT+ Badminton

Join us at 8pm on Tuesday for friendly mixed doubles badminton. We play at Brighton and Hove High School for Girls on Montpelier Road / Temple Gardens, often followed by drink at The Cow by Seven Dials.

There's a good mix of abilities, so come along and give it a go whether you're new to badminton or an experienced player. Your first session is just £5.

It was a great session at Badminton last night. It was good to see Jon playing with us again, and we welcomed new players Sharon, Sarah and Keri.

Afterwards Stu entertained us with a quick pub quiz. Congrats to Keri's team for the win - a bit of beginners luck helping maybe?

Did you watch any of the Badminton from Paris 2024? You may have watched Team GB's Kirsty Gilmour, an out and proud LGBTQ athlete. Unfortunately she was the only LGBTQ badminton player at this year's Olympics, but we hope that her representation will help change attitudes around the world and make it easier for other LGBTQ players to feel accepted. We played a solo quiz last night and it ended in a tie with these two Victorian gentlemen taking first place.

We are back tonight At brighton and Hove school for girls on temple gardens for social badminton followed by drinks at the crescent!
