The garden area is huge with seperate baby/toddler and Pre school areas filled with bespoke, handmade wooden equipment to stimulate and enhance every child's physical development. Outdoor learning and learning through play is at the heart of the nursery where every child is treated as an individual with their interests encouraged and enhanced.

💙 We were delighted to welcome our children and their father figures into nursery over the weekend for our special Father’s Day event. 💙

The morning was filled with fun activities, delicious food, laughter and lots of special moments shared together. 🧩🍓🎨

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a wonderful success. We hope you all had a fantastic time making memories with your little ones and celebrating the important father figures in their lives. 💙

Our Munchkins had a wonderful visit to a local fire station, where they learnt all about fire safety and the important role firefighters play within the community. 🚒🔥

The children had the exciting opportunity to dress up in real firefighter gear, explore the fire station, and even use the powerful fire hose. Experiences like this help children build confidence, learn about keeping safe, and develop an understanding of the people who help us every day.

There were lots of smiles, excitement, and memorable moments throughout the visit. 😊

Our babies had lots of fun exploring colourful spaghetti play 🌈✨

We coloured the spaghetti in different bright colours and provided the children with opportunities to squish, squeeze, pick up, and explore the textures using their hands. Sensory activities like this encourage curiosity, communication, and exploration through play.

Spaghetti play provides a wonderful multi-sensory experience while also supporting fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, and imaginative learning 😊

Our Munchkins had lots of fun creating and exploring obstacle courses in the garden using our large-scale loose parts! 🌿🪵⚖️

The children worked together to build different courses with increasing levels of difficulty, encouraging them to take risks, solve problems, and test their physical skills in a safe and exciting way.

Loose parts play provides endless opportunities for creativity, critical thinking, balance, coordination, and teamwork — and our Munchkins loved challenging themselves and each other throughout the activity! 💪😊

Our Munchkins had lots of fun exploring coloured ice using their hands and hammers. ❄️🔨🌈

The children investigated the different colours and textures as they touched, held, and carefully used the hammers to break apart the ice. They were fascinated watching the ice crack and discovering the bright colours hidden inside. 😊

This exciting sensory activity encouraged curiosity, exploration, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor development, whilst giving the children the opportunity to experiment and learn through hands-on play. 💛✨

On an outing to the beach, we brought a tuff tray so we could investigate and explore things from the beach in detail, shells sand and seaweed, we scooped them up from the beach and the water to look at

Our Munchkins enjoyed making a delicious savoury snack on the firepit using crackers and halloumi cheese. 🔥🧀✨

The children carefully put the crackers and halloumi together before wrapping them in foil and helping to cook them over the firepit. They loved watching the cheese warm and melt whilst learning about cooking outdoors in a safe and supervised way. 😊

This hands-on activity encouraged teamwork, independence, turn taking, and confidence, whilst giving the children the opportunity to enjoy a warm and very tasty snack they had made themselves! 🌿💛

☀️ Keeping cool and protected in the summer sun. 🌿💦

At Munchkins, children’s safety and comfort always come first during warmer weather. All of our settings are fully air conditioned, helping both the children and our team stay cool and comfortable throughout the day.

We carefully monitor UV levels and avoid outdoor play during the hottest parts of the day, giving children time to cool off indoors when needed. When outside, children are protected with high SPF sun cream, suitable clothing and sun hats, along with plenty of shaded areas across our gardens.

And of course, sunny days mean extra water play fun to help everyone stay cool. ☀️
