Toy Box Nursery, Pre-School and Forest School Brighouse Toy Box Day Nursery & Pre-School continues to provide outstanding childcare and education in a lovin We cater for 54 children aged between 3 months and 5 years.

Toy Box Day Nursery and Pre-School is situated within the grounds of Woodhouse Primary School on Daisy Road, Brighouse, West Yorkshire. We provide fresh home-cooked meals based on an exciting and varied menu which caters for a variety of dietary requirements. Our staff team are qualified and experienced in their roles and have achieved Paediatric First Aid as well as Safeguarding and Food Hygiene, amongst others. There is a strong training and support structure here for all staff, championed by our experienced Manager and Early Years Consultant. This week in Preschool our little learners took a trip to Poland to learn about the country and it's culture. We listened to music by Chopin and played a game called Chopin's dancing fingers. We read a lovely story about the legend of The Wawel dragon, made a Polish traditional dish, potato pancakes with sour cream 😋 and dug for Amber gems in the sand, just like the Amber that can be found on the Baltic coast.

A wonderful sunny morning spent outdoors exploring our local area ☀️ Our little learners in Preschool went on an adventure this morning, we picked Blackberries, saw the corn fields and even got a surprise treat from the lovely owner of Woodhouse Londis who came out to greet us on the way back to nursery to give us a pack of yummy jelly beans each! 😃🌞

This week in Preschool our little learners have been learning about India as part of our around the world theme. During the week we have made Rangoli patterns, peacock tails, danced to Bhangra music and today we made an Indian feast. We made Seekh kebabs, naan breads, yoghurt dip and bombay potatoes using our home grown potatoes from forest school. We cooked it on the campfire and enjoyed eating with our friends. 🇮🇳
