Our week 🥰

We started the week at Little Grandma’s, where the littlies enjoyed exploring the baby area, investigating the sensory wall and rolling balls down the guttering.

Wednesday we headed out to Lister Park for an autumn adventure, collecting conkers, exploring our surroundings and enjoying the fresh air. 🍂

We also had a fantastic visit to Flow Sensory, where the children loved exploring all the different sensory experiences and getting stuck into the activities. 🫧

Back at home, we’ve enjoyed lots of lovely sensory and developmental play, including our autumn treasures, painting , ball play and cardboard ball-drop activity. Plenty of opportunities for exploring, practising coordination and discovering cause and effect through play. 🥰

Today we were lucky enough to be invited along by Rachel for a free session Flow Sensory Gomersal
and WOW, what an amazing place!💜

So many wonderful sensory experiences to explore, from the lights and colours to messy play, textures, movement and lots of opportunities to investigate and discover.

The children absolutely loved it and there was so much to keep their little minds and bodies busy.

A huge thank you to Rachel for inviting us , we had such a lovely time and we will definitely be back! 🥰

Ball Drop Fun!
We turned an old cardboard box into our very own ball drop game, adding different-sized holes and flaps for the children to investigate. They loved choosing a ball, working out which hole it would fit through and then watching it disappear before rolling out the bottom! ☺️⚽️

🦈 Under the Sea Sensory Play
We also dived into an ocean-themed sensory tray! 💦💙 We filled it with blue water and silky scarves, added lots of different sharks to explore and included our That’s Not My Shark touch-and-feel book.

🌳
Our week started with a trip to the park, getting some fresh air , enjoying the swings and sharing a story together. There was lots of running around and ball play. We made the most of a sunny day with time in the garden too.

Tuesday we headed to Little Daisy’s for their Pre-Walkers Sensory Social. The little ones had lots to explore, from the different sensory areas to the picture booth, followed by some lovely movement and music. 🎶 We shook our shakers, waved our pom poms and had lots of fun joining in.

🎵 Thursday was Boogie Babes at Sarah's Childminding Hub.
We’ve been singing, dancing, moving to music and generally having a brilliant time getting our little bodies moving. The children have especially loved all the amazing props Marcia brings . 💃🪇

🏡 Back at home, there’s been plenty going on too .
lots of imaginative play, exploring our environment, sharing toys, cuddles with friends and plenty of opportunities for the children to follow their own interests and choose what they would like to play with.

💕 It’s also been a special week as we welcomed our newbie for his first week. He has settled in so beautifully, making new friends and exploring his new surroundings. 🥰

We’ve had another lovely, busy week this week !

We’ve enjoyed trips out to Little Grandma’s Play Gym, PBS Play Village and Little Humans Play Company, exploring the different role-play areas, getting active, enjoying sensory and small-world play and using our imaginations.

Back at home we’ve enjoyed lots of learning through play too, developing our communication, physical skills, independence, problem solving, fine motor skills and social skills without even realising we were learning!

We have said goodbye our leaver, who is now ready to start school and we have also welcomed our new little newbie to the setting this week, and it’s been lovely watching them begin to settle 🥰

What a special little girl you are!

I’ve had you since you were a baby, and it’s been such a privilege watching you grow into the happy, confident girl you are today.

You are more than ready for your next big adventure at school, and I hope I’ve given you a lovely start along the way. You’ll be missed so much by us all! 💕

Thank you to Mum and Dad for trusting me with her all these years, and for the beautiful flowers. 💐

Good luck at big school ⭐

Our week!

We’ve enjoyed some lovely outings this week, starting with a trip to The Little Box Company where the children explored a gorgeous beach-themed sensory setup. From ice cream gloop and sprinkles, playdough creations and watermelon play, to painting shells and exploring different textures, the children had so much fun using all their senses. 🐚🍉

We also visited Harold Park and enjoyed lots of outdoor adventures. The children loved the play areas, climbing, sliding, riding and exploring. We took a walk to the pond, fed the birds (with a few cheeky tastes of bread along the way!) and enjoyed watching our friends take on the rope bridge and challenges around the park. 🦆🌳

Back at home we’ve had lots of opportunities for creativity and imaginative play. The older children enjoyed crafting with plenty of cutting, sticking, colouring and designing. We’ve also enjoyed playdough, role play, building, garden games and lots of teamwork and laughter. ✂️🎨
