Students have been back out in the outdoors this week and have been completing Forest School activities. This week our students have been creating water filters. Well done to all have taken part.

An EXCLUSIVE SEN session has been added to this weeks timetable!

Sunday 2nd June 4:30-5:30 for SEN users only.

What to expect…

- Quieter music 🎵
- Carers free
- Restrictions such as socks lifted 🧦
- Quick check in on arrival 💻

This session is a walk in session, however you can book over the phone or via messenger if you wish to do so.

We recommend signing a waiver online for all individuals that wish to jump, however this can also be done on arrival.

We advise arriving 15 minutes before the session starts.

Please ensure you watch the safety video and/or read the rules where possible

As part of our students development, we are lucky to have the use of a local farm. Where students can have access to various animals who they can feed. Below are some images of the visit today. Students and staff even went for a walk and seen some amazing views and working towards some AQAs!! Well done to our students - valuable life experience gained.

Our upper school students took part in a football tournament with other schools.

Currently waiting for the final results. However, our school team achieved 2 wins, 2 losses and 2 draws!

Our Hestia Students have been attending Forrest school and developing skills on this occasion students have made an adjustable hook this has been completed over 2 weeks. Amazing activities and outcomes by all the students.

DFN Project Search is a one year supported internship programme for young people with an EHCP. It is targeted at young people whose goal is competitive employment in the community. Interns will take on workplace rotations with placements based at Humberside Police Station and North East Lincolnshire Council beginning in September 2024.

At Upper School our English Team created the World Book Day game where staff and students got involved in guessing who's bookshelf belongs to who. Well done to all involved.

Our school community is very lucky to have a generous donor of various produce. Thank you for your continued support. ✨️
Our students names shall go into a draw and the lucky winners will be able to take some goodies home to their families. ✨️

Humberside Fire and Rescue came into school to speak to our Upper School pupils about Fire and Water safety.

The students were an asset to the school, the questions the students asked were great and the engagement was brilliant. Well done to our students and staff for supporting our visitors.

The fire fighters even had a push up challenge with some of our students! They even encouraged a staff member to dress up in the equipment.

Wednesday 29th November was within our Brigg school, our staff and students embraced different activities to engage and support out of the box thinking. Students even reminded teachers when they went to pick up a pen they could not be used. Here are some images of the day and more to come this week.

Well done to all students and staff for taking part in these activities, many of which were ideas that students created.

- building the base of a volcano. For this the children used recycled cardboard and recycled bottles. Once this was built the children did paper mâché over the top and left it to dry until the next lesson. The intention is to decorate them during the next lesson and then the following lesson they will be conducting an experiment as part of the sessions.

slide - During the children took part in a quiz to challenge them and to see if they could remember the things they have been learning during the academic term.

During our children made a macaroni cheese pizza. Who all enjoyed it.

In as part of no pen day the children completed a maths version of 'The Chase'. It really encouraged the children to use their mental arithmetic skills.

Whilst the students are participating in no pen day they are also meeting their targets.
