Wild biome day 4…. It was all about the rose hips today, collecting and processing, then creating a delicious rose-hip passata and drying the seeds for flour…
I used some of the passata for a fabulous venison bolognaise, flavoured with ground elder, Scot’s lovage, fermented wild garlic and hogweed, served with sea spaghetti and honey fermented baby pine cones…
🍀
I’ve felt like a different person today, the headache has buggered off, mental clarity is back ( hello, I MISSED you! ) and I’ve felt lighter and brighter! It’s like my body suddenly remembered that it loves this regime, that it thrives on wild food… I love it!
🍀
It also suddenly occurred to me that this is HARD, this thing that we are doing, its hard work, no matter how much you prepare, to get two meals on the table every day that are totally wild and foraged!
🍀
So a big well bloody done to everyone involved… to the second and third timers who came back for another go, and to all the newbies who might be thinking ‘what the hell?’.. YOURE all amazing, we got this! Keep going, it really does get easier and the sense of achievement and learning curve are incredible!! 🥰🌿🍄🍄🟫🍀☺️
