Little Acorns Playgroup For children 1-4 years of age, we offer sessions for children in receipt of time for twos funding and the government funded hours for children from 9 months.

places are also available to be paid privately for families not eligible for funding. we are a playgroup for children 1-4 years of age. we are open three days a week Monday Tuesday and Wednesday 9.30am- 14.30pm term time only. We are ofsted registered and fully insured insured. We follow the early years foundation stage which means that each child plays and learns to their own ability and encoura

ged to move forward at their own pace. we provide a healthy snack and drinks. A cooked lunch is available at an extra cost. We offer time for twos funding and EEF funding for three years olds for up to 15 hours a week. Sessions run 9.30am-12 or 12-2.30pm at a cost of £11.50 and 9.30-14.30 at a cost of £19.50

We can't wait to see you all when we return on Tuesday 1st September for a fun filled autumn term.

Graduation was an emotional one for parents/carers and staff alike.
We've been touched by the beautiful cards we recieved, after looking after our little acorns some of whom had been with us for 3 years it really is so heartwarming to read how we've impacted their lives and the lives of their families ❤️

Thank you to everyone who attended and for all of the kind gifts, beautiful cards and kind words. It's so lovely to hear the difference we have made not only to the little acorns in our care but also to their families ❤️
We hope you all have the best summer and look forward to seeing you back to nursery on Tuesday 1st September.
We cant wait to hear about all of your adventures and to meet all of our new little acorns.
Good luck to all of the children moving on to their next adventures in reception class and to those moving to new nurseries. We know you're ready to take on the new challenge 💪.

I am so incredibly proud of my little acorns performance at graduation today. Everyone sat proudly on stage while singing with enthusiasm (very loudly too) 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓👩‍🎓👨‍🎓
A big thank you to my team who have been busy preparing for today, taking special photos, writing poems, putting together a book for each family, packing up gift bags, preparing crafts and activities and lots and lots of singing practice, all of your hard work paid off and I know they're proud (and exhausted) early years educators today ❤️

Today is our summer craft morning. Please arrive at 9.30am ready for our fun filled craft morning. Please remember only ONE adult per little acorn due to space in the hall.
Craft will finish at around 11am when we will arrange the hall ready for our graduation.
Graduation is for children leaving acorns to start reception class in September and each child has TW0 tickets for parents/carers to watch (siblings under 16 do not need a ticket and are welcome to stay for graduation)
The children (and staff) have been practising hard and we cant wait to share the morning with you 👨‍🎓

Our last small group trip of this academic year.
At little acorns we love small trips in and around our local community.
Our small group trips out into the community are always such a highlight.
Wherever we go, we're often greeted with smiles, kind words and lovely complements about how everyone is doing. It's always heartwarming to hear people say they are happy to see us out and about.
Thank you to everyone who makes us feel so welcome it really does mean a lot.
Today after buying fruit for our end of term trip the children enjoyed handing out cards that we had made to thank other small businesses and locals in the area.
A special thanks to Brierley Hill Market Hall who always make us so welcome

** A reminder of the plans for the last week of term week commencing 13th July **
Monday and Tuesday - nursery open as normal 8am till 3.30pm
Wednesday- Parent/carer and child craft morning 9.30am till 11am (one adult per child please due to space in the hall.) Followed by graduation for our preschoolers leaving us for reception class (two tickets per child only) NO NORMAL SESSION
Thursday - Nursery trip to Sycamore Adventure 12.30pm till 3pm. NO NORMAL SESSION
Staff will meet you there. We have private hire for our session and the children and parents/carers will be free to play and explore. A snack bag will be provided for each child to enjoy at their leisure.NO CHARGE FOR TRIP OR SNACKS
