It was great to visit St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School last week as part of their Vocations Week.

We spoke with some of the classes about what local councillors do and how young people can get involved in their communities.

Thank you to the staff and students for such a warm welcome – the pupils asked some brilliant questions and it was great to hear about their career aspirations!

What a beautiful Year 6 Confirmation Commitment Mass.

On this Second Sunday of Lent, we reflected on Jesus’ journey up the mountain for the Transfiguration — a moment of revelation, courage and deeper understanding. In the same way, our Year 6 pupils are now beginning their own journey towards the Sacrament of Confirmation. Like the disciples climbing the mountain, they are stepping forward in faith, trusting in God’s call and committing themselves to grow closer to Him.

This Commitment Mass marks not an end, but a beginning — the first steps on a sacred journey towards Confirmation. Please continue to keep our Year 6 children in your prayers as they walk this path of faith.

As we come to our final night at Condover Hall, there is such a lovely atmosphere amongst the children — a mixture of pride, laughter, tired smiles and so many shared memories.
Over the past few days, they have challenged themselves, supported one another and truly grown in confidence.

We are so proud of every single one of them. They have been a credit to you all.

After one final sleep, we look forward to bringing home some very happy (and very tired!) Year 6 children tomorrow! 💙

The children have continued to impress us as they prepared themselves for even more exciting activities. For many, this has meant quite literally taking a leap of faith — trusting in themselves, listening carefully, and finding the courage to try something new. It has been wonderful to see them facing challenges with bravery and determination.

This leap of faith reminds us of how Jesus calls us to trust, be courageous, and step forward even when we feel unsure.

Unfortunately, our run of good weather has taken a break- look out for done soggy pictures soon.

We have had another wonderful afternoon here at Condover Hall, and the children continue to amaze us with their courage, determination and positive attitudes. They have embraced each new challenge with enthusiasm, showing great perseverance even when activities have pushed them beyond what they thought they could do.

They have reminded us that we are strongest when we work together and care for those around us.

We have had a fantastic first morning here at Condover Hall! The weather has been kind to us so far – it is still dry, with the sun occasionally peeking through the clouds, making it a perfect continuation of our adventure.

The children have already shown incredible resilience and a real thirst for adventure as they have begun their first activities. It has been wonderful to see them stepping out of their comfort zones, trying new challenges, and approaching everything with such positivity and enthusiasm.

What has stood out most of all is the care and support they have shown for one another. Those who were feeling a little nervous have been encouraged and reassured by their friends, demonstrating kindness, compassion and teamwork. They are truly embodying the St Mary’s mission in the way they look after and uplift each other.

We are incredibly proud of them already and cannot wait to see what the rest of the day brings!
