Bradpole Preschool – Leader/Manager Vacancy

Bradpole Preschool is seeking a dedicated and motivated Leader/Manager to join our setting. We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to lead our committed team of trained early years professionals.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who cares deeply about Early Childhood Education and has experience within a preschool or early years setting—ideally with previous leadership or management experience. The role would suit someone with strong organisational and communication skills, and a genuine passion for creating an inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

As the Preschool Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the setting, including:

• Developing and implementing educational programmes and policies in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Ensuring the safety, well-being, and safeguarding of all children aged 2–5
• Building positive and effective relationships with parents and carers
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, Local Authority guidance, and Ofsted requirements
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development across the staff team
• Recruiting, training, and managing staff, including termly supervisions, annual appraisals, rota management, and ensuring correct staffing ratios
• Managing the preschool budget with support from administrative staff and in collaboration with the committee

Role Details:
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Term-time only, paid pro-rata
• Salary dependent on qualifications and experience (range: £25,000 – £35,000 pro-rata)
• Start Date: Spring Term (Jan/Feb 26)

Early Years Practitioner (Additional Support)
Bradpole Preschool is a friendly, non-profit early years setting with charitable status, providing high-quality care and education for children aged 2–5 years. We care for up to 26 children per session in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
We are seeking a Early Years Practitioner to give additional support, with one-to-one elements, to join our established team from the Spring term on a fixed contract to August 2027 (See ‘Contract’ below).
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
• Have a friendly, flexible, and positive attitude
• Work effectively as part of a supportive, established team
• Build strong, caring relationships with children and parents
• Demonstrate a genuine commitment to early years education and inclusion

Qualifications and Training
• Applicants must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 3 preferred)
• Willingness to undertake additional training as required is essential
Pay
• Rate of pay will depend on age and level of qualification
• Paid pro rata

Hours
• Between 16 and 30 hours per week.
• Term-time only

Contract
• Fixed-term contract until August 2027 (end of the 2026/2027 school year)
• Possibility of a permanent contract following successful completion of the fixed term
