Nurtured by Nature

Nurtured by Nature A Steiner inspired group for 2- to 5-year-olds guided by the natural cycle and rhythm of the year.

Seasonal songs, stories and crafts are used to connect with nature and observe seasonal changes and yearly festivals. Sessions led by Jess Coulson who trained in Holistic childcare at Emerson college and studied Education at Froebel college. Jess feels passionately about nurturing the early years of a child's development through gentle care and simple experiences, allowing children to be nourished

by nature and natural rhythms. Creativity through craft and expressive art activities also play an important role in her work and are both nourishing and therapeutic for children and caregivers. Jess hopes the groups will provide gentle/calm and restorative spaces in hectic lives, that supports both child and parent/ carer.

Today we celebrate Imbolc or St Brigid day. It marks the half way point between the winter solstice and spring equinox.
There are signs of spring emerging. The root children are starting to stir and wake up. But the weather can still be cold.
Soon we will gather again to celebrate the returning spring, light and new life emerging.
