⭐Summer Holidays Year 6/7 Transition Workshop.

These sessions are designed for current Year 6 students who will be transitioning to either Headlands or Bridlington secondary schools. The aim is to help students meet others who will be attending their new school, while exploring any worries or concerns they may have about starting secondary school — all within a safe, supportive, and fun environment.
There will be three sessions available for each school, and students are welcome to attend all three if they wish.
The sessions are completely FREE!
We kindly ask that students sign up using the QR Code or link provided, so we have an idea of expected numbers.

⭐We are excited to be welcoming our new cohort to Bridlington School for their transition days on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd July.

All parents/guardians have been contacted via our online system Arbor with details of the two days. If you have yet to log on, please contact the school.

Students should arrive at the side gate on Bessingby Road (opposite the fire station) from 8.10am.

If you have any further questions, please contact the school and ask for the Transition Team.

⭐Character Reward Cards⭐
Every week our students are encouraged to try their best to demonstrate the character trait of the week.
If a member of staff sees this trait being demonstrated, the student will be awarded a character reward card.
This card can then be used to obtain a breakfast item from the canteen or be taken to be exchanged for a lucky dip item.
The character trait to demonstrate this week is sincere

What does it mean?
"Sincerity" refers to the quality of being honest, genuine, and truthful in one's thoughts, feelings, and actions. It involves authenticity and a lack of deceit.

Why is it important that you are sincere?
Sincerity is important to students because it lays the groundwork for positive relationships, contributes to a healthy learning environment, and prepares them for success in both academic and personal pursuits. It is a fundamental aspect of character development that extends far beyond the classroom.

⭐Today, a group of Year 9 students visited Beechwood Care Centre, where they met care professionals, explored the environment, and learned about careers in health and social care, including the skills needed to support older people. What a valuable and inspiring experience!
We were also delighted to see former student Freya, now studying a T Level in Health and on placement at the centre and hear about her experiences👏 Well done Freya – we are super proud of you! And a massive thank you to Claire and the Team at Beechwood for making us feel so welcome.

To ensure your child remains entitled to free school meals in September, please complete the form that will be sent by email later today.

Children from families in receipt of Universal Credit will also be entitled to free school meals and should complete the form to claim them.

You can save up to £16.00 every week - that's over £600 each school year and may also receive supermarket vouchers during holiday periods.
