We are really proud to have been the first nursery in Bridlington to offer this fantastic programme. We strongly agree that every provider should have access to it….. which is why we have promoted and raised awareness of this programme with our LA.
Every child deserves the best start and no child should be on a lengthy waiting list. School readiness is key and sometimes the support comes too late!
Speech Club bridges that gap and places mechanisms of support where it’s needed and more importantly WHEN it’s needed.
For any settings in the wider community and beyond who are interested in the impact of this programme … please do not hesitate to get in touch with us for feedback. We are more than happy to discuss how it’s influencing positive outcomes within our setting.

Waiting lists for speech and language therapy are growing, nurseries are asking for more support, parents are understandably frustrated, and budgets are tighter than ever. It can feel like an impossible situation.

But what if the answer is not finding extra money, it is taking a different approach?

Instead of waiting years for specialist capacity to increase, some areas are looking at universal, evidence based support that can be used across nursery settings right now. That means children can be supported earlier, staff feel more confident day to day, and specialist services can focus where they are needed most.

Essex County Council is a great example of what this can look like. Through Speech Club they created a new model of support across their early years settings:

✅ 43 nursery settings
✅ 1,000+ families
✅ Partnership extended for two years

They did not wait for the perfect moment, they created it, and the impact was clear.

Funding routes vary by area, but the key point is that Essex built a model by combining existing funding streams rather than relying on a brand new budget. Often it is a shift in approach, not a whole new pot of money.

A few snaps of our end of term school leaver bus trips.
The children enjoyed trips to Daynes D**e today playing amongst the rocks building towers and practicing their throwing. Other groups went to Primrose Valley to play in the playground, forage for pine cones and had a lovely time feeding the ducks and geese.
More trips to follow this week for the school leavers at Gable House .
We all had a fabulous day in the sun!!

A huge well done and congratulations to this months Employee of the Month. One for each setting.
For Burlington- Jess has been with the Burlington team as a student even before we took over last year. Since then she has continued to work hard, progress to the point where we invited her to be a paid member of staff. Keep doing what you do best Jess and from all of us… good luck for your future studies.
For Gable House- Sarah has worked between both our settings and is always willing to cover wherever and whenever she is needed. Sarah your professional approach to the role is exceptional and no matter where you work you fit in perfectly. The two year olds are currently thriving with the help of your care and support.
To both of you- well done ladies and thank you for all that you do for us.

The children at Burlington enjoyed taking part in sports day today - lots of fun and sunshine!

Please can all customers make sure your child comes fully prepared for this extreme weather. Please apply sun cream prior to their start of session, suitable light clothes - we also suggest packing a lightweight long sleeved cotton top to protect from the sun as an additional measure for children who choose to be outdoors more. Please also pack sun hats and changes of clothes for water play. Let’s enjoy the weather and stay safe. In addition to the air con we have in some rooms, in others we have installed additional coolers, fans and everything we possibly can to help keep temperatures indoor as manageable as possible.
If you intend to keep your little ones at home during this hot weather, please call us and let us know.
