What an amazing first summer of camps for Renew Education! 🌱

16 days of provision.

Up to 14 young people supported each day.
And some brilliant experiences along the way:

🥷 Ninja Warrior
🚀 Aerospace Bristol
🧗 Blackrock Outdoors
🏖️ Beach trips
🦴 Fossil hunting
🤸 Timewarp and Flip Out

But the activities are only part of the story.

Six weeks is a long time. For many young people, the school holidays mean losing their routine, trusted relationships and opportunities to socialise. Boredom can quickly become isolation, excessive screen time or increased vulnerability within the community.

Our vision is to provide support and mentorship throughout the year—not just during term time.

Sometimes, success is simply a young person getting up, leaving the house and choosing to do something positive.

One message from a parent simply read:

“HE’S THERE!! 🎉”

Another described the programme as “such a massive support and relief all round.”

That is why we do what we do.

These camps have given young people structure, connection, new experiences and something positive to look forward to—while continuing the trusted relationships we have worked hard to build throughout the year.

A huge thank you to our brilliant Renew team, the families who trusted us and everyone who helped make our first summer possible.

We finished in style with a brilliant day at Timewarp and Flip Out — plenty of games, bouncing, laughter and energy from start to finish!

It’s been a fantastic summer full of new experiences, friendships and memories. A huge thank you to all the young people and families who joined us, and to our brilliant team for making it possible.

✈️ A brilliant day at Aerospace Bristol! (Part 1)

Our young people explored the story of flight, got hands-on with the exhibits and, of course, saw Concorde up close.

Our holiday programme is about more than great days out. It gives young people a safe, familiar space to stay connected, try something new and create positive memories with people they trust.

Plenty of smiles, questions and memorable moments—another fantastic day with the Renew team! 💚

🚗 Can anyone in our Bridgwater network help?

As Renew Education continues to grow, we’re looking for a reliable parking solution for our team near King Square.

Ideally, we need around five spaces initially, with the potential to add more as our team grows. This could be unused weekday spaces at a local business, church, community venue, private car park or similar.

We’re happy to agree a fair monthly fee for the right long-term arrangement.

If you have somewhere suitable within reasonable walking distance—or know someone who might—please send us a message.

Another brilliant day out for our summer programme—this time at Puxton Park! 🐐☀️

A day full of new experiences, laughter and opportunities for our young people to build confidence, strengthen relationships and enjoy being part of the group.

Sometimes the biggest wins aren’t about numbers. They’re about one young person choosing to show up. 💚

Today our older group is back at Blackrock, getting stuck into another day of outdoor education, challenge and new experiences.

Before the day had even started, we received this message from a parent:

“HE’S THERE!! 🎉”

Followed by:

“Genuine and massive thanks for linking this up… this is such a massive support and relief all round!!”

For a young person who hasn’t always found it easy to engage, simply making the decision to get up, leave the house and come along is a huge step.

This is why relationships matter.

Sometimes the pathway back to confidence, routine and positive experiences starts with something as simple as creating an opportunity they actually want to be part of.

Huge credit to our team for continuing to build those relationships — and to the young people themselves for giving things a go. 🙌

Our young people had the chance to get stuck into a brilliant mix of outdoor activities — from archery to paddleboarding and plenty of time in the water!

Days like this are about so much more than just having fun. They give young people opportunities to try something new, build confidence, challenge themselves, work together and create positive memories outside the classroom.

We’re really excited that Outdoor Education at Blackrock will form part of our Renew programme from September, giving our young people even more opportunities to learn, develop and thrive through real-world experiences.

A brilliant day out at Charmouth today! 🦖🪨

Our learners swapped the classroom for the Jurassic Coast, getting hands-on with some fossil hunting before enjoying some time at the park.

Days like this are exactly what Renew is about — new experiences, curiosity, confidence and learning beyond the classroom. 🌱
