Year 9 pupils have harvested the pumpkins and squash they sowed as seeds in April. They have nurtured a whole crop from seed to harvest and have the skills, knowledge and confidence to replicate at home next year. So, you'd better be prepared to make lots of pumpkin soup!
Some of the fruits have been used as a display outside the school office, others are being used for various harvest festivals and they will be on sale in the final week of half term for those wishing to buy.

A first team photo for our Year 7s (one that's bound to resurface at the Leavers' Assembly in years to come....! And what a way to start, with a win as part of a friendly fixture for our Year 7s and 8s at Sidcot. Some great rugby on show by both teams, despite a narrow defeat for the Year 8s. Well done to all who took part.

This afternoon the Year 7s were making the most of the late September sunshine, working hard on their plots in the walled garden and building shelters in Forest School. There was lots of happy chattering to be heard and some excellent teamwork.

We're really excited that it's cross-country season and, once again, FOBSA will be providing refreshments for the school cross-country event on Saturday 17th October.
(Friends of Brymore School) work hard to raise funds that help to provide important equipment and opportunities for the students at Brymore.

They always welcome help with these events, so if you are happy to roll up your sleeves and flip a burger or two, then do get in touch!

Also, if you are interested in becoming a FOBSA committee member, they are a really friendly bunch of committed parents and would welcome new members.

At the weekend, our boarders were invited to support the Grand Opening of Wellington Pump Track. The boys were some of the first users of the track on Saturday morning, and following the opening event, run by Wellington Town Council and , some of our boys supported members of public to use the track safely, advising users to wear helmets, helping younger users navigate the track, and assisting organisers with opening and closing the track during event periods. We enjoyed a demonstration from Clark & Kent Contractors Ltd riders, and a remote-controlled car display on the track.
The boys were heavily praised by many organisations and members of the public for being so supportive, polite, and an excellent representation of the school.

Brymore hosted a fabulous Year 10 rugby tournament and we welcomed teams from West Somerset, Kingsmead and Bishop Fox's. There were some really tight and well-contested matches. Well done to our boys who won 3 out of 3 games. Many thanks to the other schools for coming along.
