NCfN@Bridgwater & Taunton College has adapted and continued the experiential development programme for EDF Careers UK and Magnox apprentices through lockdown.

After the success of last year’s Industrial Experiential Learning programme at Fleet Air Arm Museum, Yeovilton, an arrangement was made to repeat the programme online this year.

BTC has worked hard to adapt our Apprenticeship delivery to ensure our apprentice’s learning is not disadvantaged by Covid-19.

Chris Young, EDF Education and Skills Delivery Manager commented:

Apprentices help to future-proof Magnox Magnox has recruited 34 new apprentices as part of plans to ensure it has the right people and skills available, at the right time, to deliver its ongoing decommissioning mission.

NCfN Build the Future – National Apprenticeship Week 2021

“The 14th annual celebration of apprenticeships, will showcase the impact apprenticeships can have on communities, local businesses and regional economies and how they all benefit from the impact of apprenticeships. The theme of ‘Build the Future’ is appropriate for 2021. The last year has been hard for everyone and it’s an apt time to focus on how employers train, retain and achieve with apprenticeships.”
