On Thursday 25th January, our Year 5 and 6 athletes competed in the County Sports hall Athletics Finals at Richard Huish. They competed in track and field events and showed great teamwork and effort throughout.
Fantastic news - they won and are now County Champions! 🏆
A huge well done to our team! Congratulations on your brilliant achievement and thanks to Miss Bax for her efforts and support.

We are very excited! The eggs have hatched and we now have 8 chicks to look after for the next week in Owl Class.

Owl Class had a visit from Liz, who works for Farm Link, to deliver some special eggs. We have been asked to look after them and watch for any changes. Owl Class are very excited about looking after the eggs and they cannot wait for them to hatch. We will keep you updated!

Year 3 have been very busy making Stone Age houses. They worked so hard to design and create their own houses out of clay, straw, leaves and twigs.

During multi faith week, Year 1 and 2 enjoyed a visit from Mr Strange. He introduced them to the Jewish Sabbath. They enjoyed some Godly play, the story of Moses and the 10 commandments, watched a video about how Jewish people celebrate the Sabbath, sang a song and tasted Challah bread. The children produced some beautiful writing and pictures after his visit.

On Thursday 12th October our Chaplains were commissioned by Fr Paul at Mass. They received their blessing as well as their Chaplaincy badges and certificates.

On Tuesday 3rd October, our Girls football team took part in a 5-a side futsal tournament at BCA. We played and won all 4 matches in our pool, winning:
8-0
3-0
9-0
2-0
We won our pool and made it through to the final. We lost the final 1-0 in the last minute and came away with silver medals 🥈
Well done to our team for their fantastic achievement!

From the money raised through cake sales, Year 1 now have a rug for their outdoor reading area and inside the play house to make it feel homely. They have painted their mud kitchen and added a water dispenser. A hydration station trolley is in the making too!

On Tuesday 26th September, Year 5 and 6 visited Taunton Museum to learn more about their topic on the Vikings. They had the opportunity to act out some of King Alfred's story, dress up as Anglo Saxons and Vikings, and created clay Viking Runes. There was even time to build an Anglo-Saxon Village! The children had to think about how they could protect it from a Viking attack.
The rest of the day was spent around the Musuem finding out more about the Stone Age, the Romans, Anglo Saxons and The Monmouth Rebellion.
