🙌A huge thank you to everyone who volunteers within our community.

As we celebrate National Volunteers’ Week, we’re taking the opportunity to recognise the many people who generously give their time to support our children and young people.

Whether you’re helping to organise events, raising funds, sharing your skills and expertise, supporting school activities or giving your time behind the screens, every contribution helps make a difference.

Our school is stronger because of the people who care about their community and are willing to give their time to help children and young people thrive.

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers for your energy, commitment and support. We couldn’t do it without you! ❤️

We want to say a huge welcome to all of the children and families who will be joining us for the start of their school journey this September. We will be in contact as soon as we are back to school next week with key information and diary dates.

We are looking forward to meeting all of you and welcoming you all to the school community.

🌼 A Message to Our Local Community 🌼

We want to take a moment to acknowledge the concerns some of our village residents have raised regarding increased parking during school drop‑off and pick‑up times. We completely understand how challenging this can be for those living nearby, and we genuinely appreciate your patience and understanding.

As a school, we continue to do everything we can to encourage safe, considerate and respectful parking. We regularly remind parents and carers of the importance of being mindful of our neighbours, and we have invested in additional signage to help guide parking more safely and clearly.

We have also been in contact with our local PCSOs and requested further support in monitoring the situation. Parents have again been reminded that any unsafe or illegal parking may be reported directly to the police via 101, as advised.

It’s important to note that school operating hours have changed in recent years. The expectation for schools to provide wraparound childcare means our site is now in use from 7:30am until 5:30pm, not just the traditional 9–3. In addition, we have expanded our holiday provision in response to the needs of working families, which has naturally increased traffic at certain times of the day and year.

We know this has an impact on the community, and we genuinely sympathise with the inconvenience it may cause. At the same time, there is only so much the school can directly control. What we can promise is that we will continue working closely with families, PCSOs, and the local authority to promote safe behaviour and minimise disruption as much as possible.

Thank you to all our neighbours for your continued patience, understanding, and support for the children and families in our village. We remain committed to being a positive part of our community. đź’›

Every school knows how important early years experiences are in helping children thrive when they reach the classroom.

That's why we're working with trusted partner Childcare to help more local parents and carers explore becoming childminders and to give more children the very best start.
If you're passionate about helping children learn, grow and be ready for school, this could be a hugely rewarding way to make a difference, with expert training, ongoing support, and a school-linked network around you.

It's about giving more children the right start- and giving more people the opportunity to do something that really matters.

Thank you for all of your amazing donations for the Food Bank! We had so many bags that we could barely fit them in the photo! They really will help so many families in the local area.
We also really enjoyed the trip to the church to celebrate the Harvest Festival. Reverend Kirsty’s carrot friend was unexpected but created a lot of smiles!
The children spoke clearly and confidently, sang with smiles and were courteous walking through the village. We are very proud of them all.
Thank you to those who were able to join us at the Church and to everyone who donated to Bridgwater Foodbank.
