We have been very lucky to have a visit today from George and Adaβs dad with some of his birds of prey. Ada showed us her bird Skye and George showed us his bird Buzz. We saw a hand reared falcon called Nemo and a hawk that was very noisy. We also got to see a bird fly from the garden and come back for his food.
Thank you very much to Ada and Georges dad, Damien, for taking the time to come and talk to the children and let is look at the birds and hear lots of interesting facts.

π Fun Fact Friday at Hunnybears π
Did you know? π₯€
When it comes to drinks for children under 5, water and milk are the healthiest choices.
π Fruit juice and smoothies
* Although they contain vitamin C, they also contain natural sugars.
* Babies under 12 months do not need fruit juice or smoothies.
* If you choose to give fruit juice to children over 12 months, dilute it with 1 part fruit juice to 10 parts water and serve it only at mealtimes to help reduce the risk of tooth decay.
* From 5 years of age, children can have one small (150ml) glass of undiluted fruit juice per day, ideally with a meal.
π₯€ What about squash, flavoured milk and fizzy drinks?
* These drinks are not recommended for young children because they often contain sugar, which can increase the risk of tooth decay.
* Even sugar-free or no added sugar drinks are not ideal, as they can encourage a preference for sweet tastes. Many are also acidic, which may contribute to wear of tooth enamel over time.
π§ Top tip: Encourage children to drink water throughout the day and milk at mealtimes to help keep little teeth and bodies healthy! π¦·π
