Today I am back at Lavender Court Care Home delivering training on Autism and Learning Disabilities. This course is aligned with the Oliver McGowan Code of Practice and the Core Capabilities Framework for supporting people with a Learning Disability and Autistic People. If you are struggling to access the official Oliver McGowan training my course is a good affordable alternative and I can provide you with documentation which allows this training to be accepted by CQC. I also delivered the course at The Firs Care Home Witheridge on Monday. Feedback from those attending included that there were lots of interesting and unknown things to learn, that it was an interesting course made enjoyable with a good balance of delivered information, video based examples and peer discussions.

Today we were in Okehampton delivering Safeguarding Adults for Managers training on behalf of My Way Support. One of the most important courses in the health and social care industry delivered by Hannah Sherfield-Wright who has extensive knowledge and experience in this area, not only in care, but in education too. It is so important for safeguarding training to be delivered face to face so staff have the opportunity to ask questions and share their own experiences. Today I was delivering training at a beautiful care home in Cornwall on behalf of South West Care Homes. We had some great discussions around the importance of diversity and celebrating and valuing differences.
