You may or may not know that Mel herself is actually a dab hand at dressage too, having ridden at the top level Grand Prix.

The importance of balance and self carriage carries over into the training of the racehorses too - not only setting them up for success on track but for the careers after too.

Featured in the video is Kyntara and Isabella - not only winning the ROR class at Kington show but also going on to stand overall reserve champion!

A lot of mention goes to the riders - but we wouldn't be where we are without the team on the yard.

It's quite the task to care for 50+ horses, ensuring each one is clean, tidy and well fed before they're pulled from their stables. Performance does come from the ground up and each detail can make all the difference.

We're very fortunate to have a brilliant team who care for each horse as if it were their own.

Behind the Barn Doors the team have been giving the gallops a big refresh.

Lovely new wood chips have completely brightened them up and ensured the surface is in tip top condition for the horses to train at their best.

We're also probably a bit biased, but aren't we lucky to have such incredible views of the Shropshire hills too. What a place to call the 'office'

No job is too big or too small for any of the team - Mel & crew have been getting their hands dirty getting the gallops topped up ahead of a busy season.

We can't wait to show you what they now look like and see the horses training up them very soon.

And you heard it here first - Mel confirming she will get on camera some more!
