Today the children have enjoyed colouring, we all identified the colours together.
We have been to woodlands, played tag and collected sticks and feathers.

27/08/2026

Today we have enjoyed doing free painting, in the tuff tray we explored bubble wrap, popping the bubbles with the elephants/dinosaurs in paint.

We did some baking, the children enjoyed crushing the biscuits, adding the ingredients together and mixing to make jammy dodger chocolate slices.

The children worked together to make a train track, explored with the magnetiles, duplo building and dancing.

We had a delivery of gravel today, the children enjoyed watching the crane deliver it into the garden.

Today the children have enjoyed making paper chain snakes, exploring the playdough, the children were making burgers and stars!
In the garden we explored in the sand, building sand castles together.
This afternoon we have painted a tree for the display and had a play on the playground equipment.

Today the children have enjoyed doing bingo dabber giraffe craft, looked at stories, outside the children enjoyed playing with the super heroes, hide and seek and in the sand.
This afternoon we went blackberry picking, when we came back to nursery we made blackberry and white chocolate cakes.

24/08/2026

Today the children have enjoyed making paper plate lions, collaging yellow and orange paper to make the mane and drawing a face.
We also loved baking cakes and decorating them together. We also enjoyed some colouring.
In the garden we have loved playing with the new superhero's.

21/08/2026

Today we have had lots of play outside, we played on the climbing frame, with water and brushes on the patio making marks, in the mud kitchen mixing lentils, rice, coloured water and angel delight.
We also enjoyed sand/water play, playing shops and restaurants, on the bikes/scooters.
We went over to the woodlands where we put out the bird feed that we made yesterday and climbed in the trees.

20/08/2026

Today we have had a really busy day, this morning we made shortbread biscuits, we then decorated them.
We also went in the garden and then played some musical statues.
This afternoon we went over to woodlands to make some bird feeders, we then came back when the rain came and made some play dough.
We have also loved drawing on the whiteboards and playing Screwball.

19/08/2026

Today we have enjoyed making crowns, playing with the magnatiles, reading stories, homecorner.

Outside we enjoyed harvesting our potatoes, playing with the porridge, cups and bowls and with the play people and puzzles.

18/08/2026

Today we have enjoyed playing in the garden, we used the new basket ball hoops, played ball games, did balancing, we did chalking and enjoyed chalking around each other, went on the climbing frame and in the sand.

For our craft today we made a sea scene and added turtles and small fish, we played in the home corner.

This afternoon we went to the woodlands we enjoyed climbing the trees, played chase and collected logs and leaves, pine cones for the house they made in the trees.

17/08/2026

Today at Poppets we decided to have a pirate day! We decorated our own swords and made treasure maps using teabags. Later on we went on a treasure hunt and enjoyed a gold chocolate coin each.
We have also visited the care home where we drew around our hands and painted them. We played some games with the residents too.
The children have also enjoyed working together to create a marble run tower.
