Children are running wild in the mud, climbing high up into trees and playing with knives, but no one is telling them off. There are no fences and adults keep a low profile. This is life in kindergarten - Danish-style.

Amazing creatures!!

Rats are being trained to find earthquake survivors. They are being fitted with tiny backpacks containing microphones and trackers so rescue teams can locate and talk to survivors. Dr Donna Kean from Glasgow has so far trained 7 rats for earthquake prone areas such as Turkey. They learn quickly and are fully trained in just 2 weeks. It is part of the non-profit APOPO's Hero Rats project which also trains rats to sniff out landmines and TB. They are so nimble and agile they have never set off a landmine and should be ideal for their new job. (Info and photo from Good News Network)
