PTA Christmas Wreath Making

A Christmas Wreath making workshop organised by Oldcastle Primary PTA will be held on Wednesday 26th November. Places are limited and booking is essential. Participants need to bring gardening gloves and small gardening secateurs or sharp scissors if possible

The workshop will take place in the main school hall from 6pm to 8pm and will cost £30. The £30 will include all materials needed to make your wreath, hot drinks and festive treats.

Payments must be made by 22nd November to guarantee a place.

Oldcastle Rocks Postponed

It is with great regret that we have made the decision to postpone Oldcastle Rocks tomorrow due to the predicted rain forecast. The event is an outside event and as a result we are not able to relocate the event inside. The health and safety of our performers and visitors is of paramount concern and we do not feel it appropriate to run the event in the wet weather. We are extremely disappointed particularly given the recent dry weather.

We will reschedule the event to Saturday 27th September. We are so grateful to all the performers, entertainers and helpers who have offered to help and we hope you are able to be part of the event in September. All raffle and tombola donations will be used in the revised date in September.

With Oldcastle rocks fast approaching! We’re on the hunt for raffle prizes. If anyone is able to donate something or knows of a local business or someone who would be able to donate, it would be much appreciated! Any donations can be dropped off to the school. Thanks in advance 😎

Only two weeks to go! Come and join us for what has become our biggest event of the year! With new entertainment, bands and stalls! We’re still receiving raffle prizes so if you’re able to donate something it would be much appreciated, and please drop it off to the school office 🎸🤘😎

We hope you can join us on Saturday 5th July for our annual Oldcastle Rocks event. We have some amazing performers and entertainment planned throughout the afternoon. We are so grateful to our community of artists coming together to raise funds for our school. Save the date!

Valentines bake sale Friday at school! Any bakes welcome, please drop off at the school office Friday morning along with a list of ingredients! Bake sale will be at the end of the school day at pick up, weather permitting it’ll be on the school yard, if not, it will be in the hall. Please bring cash 👍
There will be a prize of a £50 Amazon voucher for the best bake! 🎂 🍰 🧁 🍩 🍪

Tickets available now!

We are excited to announce that this year our school is proud to support one of the Mayor of Bridgend's chosen charities, Y Bont. Y Bont is an incredible organisation that supports children with complex medical needs, disabilities, or additional needs.

To support this fantastic cause, we are hosting a Charity Night on February 21st in the school hall. The evening will feature a performance by our school choir, Côr Merched Bro Ogwr and a fabulous fashion show in collaboration with Venetia Steele, a local boutique.

Tickets for the Charity Event are available from the school and Venetia Steel Boutique and cost £15 per person. This will include a glass of prosecco on arrival and a high tea.
