♻️ Giving existing furniture a new lease of life at the University of South Wales.

Rather than replacing the seating in the 160-seat Atrium Lecture Theatre, 320 individual pieces were carefully reupholstered and diverted from waste routes - refreshing the space while prolonging the life of existing assets.

The result? A striking transformation demonstrating the impact a more circular approach to furniture can make. 🌱

Team BOF had a fantastic time at ClerkenWales 2026 in Cardiff this week!

From discovering exciting new furniture collections and emerging design trends to gaining valuable insights from industry talks, it was a brilliant opportunity to learn, connect and be inspired.

We even got hands-on with a Driftwood & Moss Centrepiece Workshop, hosted by Plant + Pot, bringing out the team's creative side! 🌱

A fantastic event in a beautiful venue, and especially lovely to see so many of our furniture industry suppliers showcasing their innovations right here in Wales!

Flexible learning, perfectly fitted. 🎓

A recent BOF furniture installation at the University of Nottingham’s C25 Seminar Room, Coates Building.

High-stacking chairs and tables maximise the available space while keeping the room organised, adaptable and easy to reconfigure for different teaching requirements. A simple, practical solution that looks right at home in the space.

A great day of creativity & connection in Birmingham! ✨

Today we were proud to open the doors of our fabulous Birmingham Showspace in the Jewellery Quarter for a brilliant event bringing together professionals from the interiors and design community.

Organised by Pam Virk-Paul, Interior & Fabric Specialist, the session featured an engaging presentation from Tom at The3Key, Bolton-based, exploring the world of freelance interior designers and architects, with some valuable insight into the benefits, opportunities, and practicalities of working freelance.

Our Showspace was made for moments like this – bringing people together in a relaxed, inspiring environment to share ideas, learn and connect.

🏗️ A great day at UK Construction Week!

Our Account Manager, Max, visited UK Construction Week at the NEC Birmingham this week, taking the opportunity to explore the latest trends, innovations and ideas shaping the fast-moving construction industry.

It was a valuable day of learning, making new connections and gaining fresh industry insight, including some particularly informative talks around RIBA and the construction process.

Plenty of inspiration and ideas to bring back to Team BOF!

We're proud to share the completion of our latest project at SOAS University of London – the refurbishment of the iconic Philips Building Library Reading Room.

Working within this Grade II listed architectural landmark, our team delivered a furniture solution that respects the building's rich heritage while creating a welcoming, contemporary space for today's students. The refreshed environment provides a blend of collaborative, individual and focused study settings, supporting a wide range of learning styles and needs.

From bespoke furniture design and sustainable materials to integrated study booths, height-adjustable workstations and flexible social spaces, every element was carefully selected to enhance the student experience.

A fantastic project that demonstrates how thoughtful design can honour the past while supporting the future of learning.

Project Highlight ✨
A flagship project - and one we’re incredibly proud to have delivered.

Working closely with the University of Nottingham, we had the opportunity to help create these fantastic new Clinical Teaching spaces, supplying a comprehensive furniture package across a range of learning and collaboration environments. From desks, tables and task seating to stools, lockers and lighting accessories, every element was carefully coordinated to help create spaces that are practical, flexible and enjoyable to use.

Behind the finished result was a highly managed and streamlined BOF process, with close coordination throughout to ensure the project was completed to the highest standard.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this space to life.
