A great start to our 2026/2027 session!

Thank you to all who participated in the training event today. Six schools. One day. It was a busy! A mixture of thinking, doing, laughing, reflecting and connecting. 🤗

'What small changes can we make that will have a big impact?'

It was a pleasure to reconnect with individuals that we've worked with in West Dunbartonshire over the years...as well as meeting new colleagues.

We wish you every success as the children arrive back into your schools and settings...and we hope to see you again in the near future.

It’s nearing the end of the 2025-26 academic year and tomorrow some of you will be finishing for the summer!

You may have noticed that we have been quieter in recent months. We have not been ‘on the road’ as much as we had intended due to some unexpected personal circumstances. It’s safe to say that 2026 has included a fair number of ‘curveballs’!

However, we will be back for next session and are delighted to have made plans with some schools in West Dunbartonshire (Scotland) and in the Netherlands.

For the next two years, we will be operating our usual training and projects. Alongside this, we will be opening up some space for specific one-day experiences in schools and settings - working in the classroom with a focus on developing skills through problem-based learning. If you are interested in this, please drop us a message/email and we can give you more information.

Our calendar is open for 2026-27, so please contact us if you would like to explore possibilities.

What a great way to end this stay in Scotland - a visit to the new Faifley Campus! Thank you St Joseph’s and Edinbarnet for the welcome…and the tour.

After facilitating two joint projects connecting the new campus to local heritage (communities past, present and future), it was wonderful to see the Cochno Stone shining through the design everywhere.

And, as always, we especially love saying hi to the children and staff. It was great to catch up with you all.

This week began with a lovely message from New Zealand - a homeschooling group who found our Rock Pool Song on YouTube. 🦀

One of our new projects for 2026 is developing a music channel full of 'fun' educational songs and raps. We'll post more about this as it develops.🎶

(We may even take requests for song/rap themes - although I've not yet pitched this idea to the musical half of Single Steps Learning!🤫😆)
