☀️ Limited spaces available next week at Clare House School, Porthcawl! ☀️

Our sister CIC, CHAM CIC, is running its Ignite Sports holiday club at Clare House School next week, and there are now limited spaces remaining.

It is a brilliant setting for children to enjoy an active week, with woodland areas, a 3G pitch, huge fields and a gated site with no public access.

Children can book for one day or join us for the full week, with sports, games, themed activities, outdoor challenges and plenty of space to run, play and make friends.

Ignite Sports is all about helping children stay active, build confidence and try different non-competitive sports in a fun and supportive way.

Our sister CIC, CHAM CIC, is running its Ignite Sports holiday club in Swansea next week, and there are still spaces available.

Based at Rhyddings Scout Hall, just off Bryn Road, the club is in a brilliant location near Brynmill Park and the beach — giving children the chance to enjoy sports, games, themed activities, park visits, beach visits and plenty of outdoor fun.

Ignite Sports is all about helping children stay active, build confidence, make friends and try different non-competitive sports in a fun and supportive way.

🌳 What a brilliant week we’ve had at Pen-Y-Fai Scouts Hall! 🌳

The children have enjoyed a fantastic mix of outdoor adventures, woodland challenges, water games, target activities, creative crafts, clay creations and plenty of opportunities to play, explore and make new friends.

A huge thank you to all the children who joined us and brought so much energy, imagination and enthusiasm to every activity. We hope they have gone home with lots of happy memories!

Next week is our final holiday club week of the summer, taking place at Clare House School, Porthcawl, and we have five more brilliant themed days planned:

Hi everyone 👋

We’re looking for a few bits and pieces to help us create more active, creative and child-led play opportunities at our clubs.

You may have some of these sitting unused in a garage, shed, school or workplace:

• Pedal go-karts
• Cable reels
• Plastic bread or milk crates and trays
• Smooth wooden planks
• Large cardboard tubes
• Scooters
• Children’s helmets
• Plastic guttering and pipes
• Wheelbarrows or garden trolleys
• Buckets and large tubs
• Tarpaulins, sheets and den-building materials
• Pool noodles
• Large cardboard boxes
• Strong plastic storage crates
• Clean tyres
• Logs, tree slices and large branches

The children will use them to build dens, create obstacle courses, invent games and enjoy lots of imaginative outdoor play.

Anything donated would need to be clean, safe and in good condition, with no sharp edges, splinters or broken parts.

Please send Chi Education a message if you have anything that might be useful. We may be able to collect locally.

Each day will be packed with outdoor adventure, creativity, woodland discovery, confidence-building activities and lots of fun.

Cute animal crafts, clay creatures, animal-themed games and imaginative animal-care activities.

Flying crafts, wings, masks, nest building, nature trails and woodland art.

Each day will be packed with creativity, hands-on making, imaginative play, confidence-building activities and lots of fun.

🎨 Monday – Squishy & Fidget Factory
Design, sculpt and decorate your own clay squishies, sensory toys and colourful fidget-inspired creations.

📦 Tuesday – Junk Day
A creative construction day using boxes, recycled materials and equipment to build models, junk robots and sculptures.

🦖 Wednesday – Dino Lab & Fossil Hunters
Children will become young palaeontologists with fossil digs, dinosaur crafts, volcano experiments and prehistoric discovery activities.

🐾 Thursday – Capybara & Cute Animal Day
A fun and gentle animal-themed day with cute animal crafts, clay pets, animal café role play and calm creative activities.

🌲 Friday – Woodland Warriors
Team challenges, safe target games, shield and flag making, missions and confidence-building fun.

Are you energetic, fun, enthusiastic and great with children?

We’re looking for positive people aged 18+ to join our Ignite Sports Clubs team this summer. You don’t need to be a sports expert — we’re looking for people who love movement, enjoy getting involved, and are willing to bring energy, encouragement and fun to every session.

Our clubs take place in amazing locations across the Porthcawl and Bridgend area, including Bryngarw Park and Clare House School, with fantastic outdoor facilities. This is not about being stuck in a school hall all day — it’s about creating active, memorable, confidence-building experiences for children.

As part of our multi-award-winning CIC, you’ll have the chance to:

✅ Earn the Real Living Wage, not just the minimum wage
✅ Work in fun, active and supportive environments
✅ Help deliver exciting sporting-themed days
✅ Join in with a wide range of sports and movement activities
✅ Plan and deliver your own sessions, if you would like to
