Hello everyone,

We would like to welcome you to our ‘Sports Day and BBQ Fun Day’ from 10am - 1pm on the 25th July 2024.

We will be holding a nursery sports day from 10:30am - 11am, and then soaking up the sun with a BBQ and bouncy castle from 11am - 1pm.

We are hoping that as many of you can join us as possible; schoolers are free to join from 11:30am.

This week, the children are exploring space. We had lots of fun learning about planets, light and dark yesterday. The preschoolers made rockets to get to space and rescue the astronauts from the slimy alien goo, while the babies and toddlers were busy exploring light and dark, learning about the moon and stars.

Who wouldn’t want to have this much fun?

Who wouldn’t want their child to have fun and laughter every day when they couldn’t be at home with the family looking after them?

Here at Hopscotch, we know that all parents and carers want the best for their children at all times, and that is one of the main aims in all that we do. Of course there’s a lot of paperwork and requirements regarding what we have to do with the children, but at all costs we want them to have great experiences and learn at the same time - which comes in the form of learning through play from the minute they come through our door on the first day until they leave and go off to school at age 4.

We spend a huge amount of time outside - in the garden, walking in the woods, being curious and investigating our surroundings. We do a lot of messy play like painting, making slime and play dough - things which I hear a lot of parents saying they would never allow their children to do at home! That’s what places like us are here for. So that the children can have a go, explore and do things they might otherwise not be encouraged to find out about.

If your child hasn’t yet experienced any time in childcare, then why not bring them to a stay and play trial session with us? We are now taking bookings for next term but have a limited number of trial sessions available now so that your child can see what all the fuss is about before you decide to sign up with us. For a lot of 2, 3 and 4 years olds there is funding available so that they can attend nursery free for a limited number of hours a week.
