Brecon Beacons Foraging Wales' first dedicated centre for foraging, run by Adele Nozedar, author of several books too!

After foraging all over the UK in recent years, I started Brecon Beacons Foraging because I believe that this exquisite part of the world is one of the best places to seek out edible and medicinal wild plants....and of course, the physical landscape of the Brecon Beacons, with mountains, rivers and forests, is utterly gorgeous. For me, foraging is about so much more than gathering pants; it's a philosophy, a way of life. Knowing about plants and their uses encourages us to be resourceful, to be imaginative, and, often, to step into the shoes of our ancestors, for whom gathering greenery was a part of everyday life. I am passionate about plants of all kinds and, in my courses, I intend to pass on this enthusiasm and information to you! I hope you'll join me on a foraging course and anjoy an adventure which will last a lifetime.

Hello Foragers!
Just a note to let you know that the foraging session on Sunday 27th Sept
will be postponed. I’m pretty sure that everyone knows, but just in case!
The session on Sunday 25th October, however, is a goer, so if you would like to come along into the beautiful surroundings of Abergavenny, let me know!

As ever, we meet at the main front doors of The Angel Hotel in Abergavenny.
We never know what we are going to find, but it’s always intriguing, thoughtful and fun!

Hello!!!!
I can’t wait until this coming Sunday 29th!

The weather, so far, is in our favour.

We meet at the beautiful main doors of the Angel Hotel in Abergavenny,
meeting at 10am for 10.15.
We will be out for some 2.3 hours.

This year, I’m adding a smattering of folklore to the mix.
I’ve been interested in this in a long time, so I hope you will enjoy finding out
more about our native plants, trees and more.

Cost remains the same - that is, £35 per person.
Dogs welcome, and kids of 12 and under go free (and I’m flexible about this)

I do need payment up front if possible.

Call me at @ [email protected]

See you soon!

I don’t want to curse the weather, but right now I’m feeling optimistic!

A reminder, then, that the first foraging session from The Angel Hotel & Oak Room Restaurant is just a couple of weeks away, on Sunday 29th March ….

Yes, you heard that - Sunday 29th March!

ALSO….. if you are interested, I will share some snippets from my book, not out until April …… all about herbs, folklore, and other curiosities!
