🍎🌿 A SUPER busy week at LittleCwtch! 🌿🧁

Our theme this week was supposed to be Nature… although somewhere along the way I think we accidentally turned it into Baking Week! 😂👩‍🍳

We’ve packed so much in this week:

🫐 Blackberry picking
🍎 Picking apples straight from our garden
🥧 Making our own apple & blackberry crumble with everything we collected
🌳 Creating beautiful apple trees using our handprints
🐶 And, of course… making some very yummy Hey Duggee cupcakes! 🧁

It’s been such a lovely week of exploring where our food comes from, getting outdoors, collecting our own ingredients, being creative and then using what we found to make something delicious together. ❤️

We joined flying start in Brecon for their water morning. The children got stuck in enjoying the slip and slide with our oldest children helping. Great fun 💦

There’s something so special about seeing all those different-sized little feet together — each one growing, learning, exploring and making memories along the way. 💕👣

💦 Water Play Fun! 💦

There’s something magical about a water table on a sunny day! ☀️🌈 Our little ones have been enjoying lots of hands-on water play outdoors — pouring, scooping, splashing and exploring.

But water play is so much more than just fun! 💧✨ It helps children to:

🫗 Develop fine motor skills through pouring and scooping
🧠 Explore cause and effect and build early problem-solving skills
👀 Strengthen hand-eye coordination
🗣️ Encourage language, communication and social interaction
🤝 Learn to share, take turns and play cooperatively
🌱 Explore concepts such as floating, sinking, full, empty and volume
😊 Support sensory development while having lots of fun!

Outdoor water play gives children the freedom to explore at their own pace, get creative and learn through play. 💙

My beautiful sister is now married! We hope everyone is enjoying their summer holidays so far ☀️

We are having a lovely time away with lots of family. Tomorrow we move onto another accommodation just us and the kids for another week.
