🧼✨ Carpet Cleaning Day! ✨🧼

When we bought our house, it was before our childminding journey began, and carpets probably weren’t the most practical choice for a setting full of little ones! 😂🧸

But here we are, doing our best to keep everything as clean, fresh and welcoming as possible for the children in our care. ❤️

We try to deep clean our carpets as often as we can because, let’s be honest, little feet, tiny hands, snack time and all those wonderful playtime adventures can certainly take their toll! 🥰🖍️

It might not always be easy keeping everything spotless when you have little explorers around, but we’re committed to maintaining a clean, safe and cosy environment for everyone. 🏡💕

Today’s mission: fresh carpets and a little extra sparkle! ✨🧽

🍂☀️ Making the most of these beautiful autumn days outdoors.

A little walk from the setting, through Brecon town, over Llanfaes Bridge and a stop at the park before heading to collect the boys from school. Then, of course, a cheeky ice cream on the way home 🍦🤎

Simple days, fresh air, golden sunshine and plenty of time spent outside together. These are the moments that make autumn feel so special. 🍂✨

🌿 Making the switch to wooden resources 🌿

We’re slowly upgrading and swapping our childminding resources over to more wooden, natural and sustainable options. 🪵🤎

I love the simplicity of wooden resources and how they encourage children to use their imagination, creativity and open-ended play. They’re also lovely and tactile, durable, and fit beautifully into our calm, homely environment.

It’s definitely a process, and we’re not replacing everything at once — we’re gradually choosing wooden alternatives whenever we can. 🌱

It’s lovely seeing our collection grow over time, and I’m really enjoying finding new resources that the children can explore in lots of different ways.

Slowly but surely, creating a more natural play environment. 🤎🌿
