It's AGM time! Notice of the Friends of Storey Arms Annual General Meeting is out. Please come along and see how you can be part of our plans for 2026.

We have some new things to share and plenty of opportunity for you to get involved in raising money to support young people from Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Many of you will have had the Storey Arms Centre experience and know how much fun and how valuable it is. Please help us give the same opportunity to more young people.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Happy New Year everyone! Blwyddyn newydd dda bawb!

And what a way to start 2026! Our friends at Cardiff North Taekwon-Do have been raising money for us during 2025 and presented our Chair, Aled Morgan, with a cheque for £1,400 on Saturday.

Wow! What a fabulous amount of money from a wonderfully committed and enthusiastic team. Thank you so much!

These funds will go a long way to help support the work of the Storey Arms Centre, subsidising visits by schools in Cardiff and the Vale that need a little extra help.

And the best news....? Cardiff North Taekwon-Do want to keep fundraising for us in 2026! Watch this space!

Well done Kai 👏

We’re proud to share that Kai, one of our students at Whitchurch High School, recently spoke at a ceremony at Whitchurch Golf Club, reflecting on the positive impact of his time on the RYLA Leadership Course at Storey Arms.

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is a prestigious programme that brings together young people for a week of outdoor challenges in the Brecon Beacons, designed to build leadership, teamwork, and confidence.

Kai shared how the experience helped him grow personally and develop key leadership skills, leading his team through activities like gorge walking, canoeing, and hill climbing. His reflections were thoughtful and inspiring, showing how opportunities like RYLA can shape future leaders.

A 3 Peaks of South Wales challenge - Y Garth, Fan Frynach and Pen y Fan - all in one day!

Here they are ready for the last mountain - Pen y Fan - and back down for a well-earned dinner!
