Yesterday, our Year 11 students sat their final exams. Afterward, they celebrated with the much-loved tradition of shirt signing and a special end-of-school assembly, sharing photos and memories from their 5 years at Braunton.

We’re so proud of their dedication and hard work—especially throughout this intense exam season 💙 Now it’s time to celebrate, and we can’t wait to see everyone at Prom! 🎉

A Belated Wake Up Wednesday! 💭🚨

This week they’re highlighting what parents and educators need to know about online sports betting and the risks young people may face. From easy access and peer influence to advertising and “free bet” offers, it’s more important than ever to start conversations, set boundaries, and stay informed. Let’s work together to keep young people safe online. 💙

Huge congratulations to Year 10 pupils Hugo, Violet and Zach, who successfully completed the 35-mile Ten Tors route last month as part of the Taw Explorers team! 🥾🌟

Taking on their first Ten Tors challenge, they showed incredible determination, teamwork, and resilience—working together with their teammates to proudly cross the finish line as a team of six.

An outstanding achievement—well done! 👏

✨ New this summer at Studio KIND ✨

We’re excited to launch our Artivism Summer School for ages 12–15 — a four-week creative programme exploring the intersection of art and activism. Led by local artist Nicky Ruddick, young people will experiment with different techniques, learn about the history of art and politics, and create their own powerful works — from protest signs and printed t-shirts to 3D sculpture.

Running on Monday afternoons in August at the gallery, this relaxed and supportive space is perfect for anyone looking to express themselves and try something new.

Thanks to support from Barnstaple Town Council, tickets are subsidised and affordable.
