North Devon Sensory Explorers

After an amazing two years we’re unfortunately having to close North Devon Sensory Explorers. It has been such a hard decision to make and something I really didn’t want to do.
Life has changed a lot for us in the last few months and I’m finding it hard to give enough time to the business.
I have also been offered an amazing opportunity at a new job, which means my time will be reduced even more.

Thank you to everyone that has supported me over the last two years. Starting up a small business in these times (especially with COVID) has been really hard and I couldn’t have done it without all the support.

I have met so many amazing people along the way and I am sad and sorry that I’m unable to continue offering this support.

Hopefully this isn’t the end and in the future we can be up and running again.

📚 Who’s excited for world book day?? 📚

Our little one has been busy making her potato book character for her school competition.

They’ve been asked to decorate a potato as their fav book character and to dress up if they’d like- what a great and fun idea!

She’s decided to go as a fairy from- ‘that’s not my fairy’.

🧊 Ice rescue 🧊

Ice is a wonderful material for sensory play and exploration.
It’s a great way to support development in learning, such as fine motor skills, cognitive skills, and language development.

A very, VERY late Happy New Year to you all ⭐️

We’re sorry there has been very little content from us over the last few months. As it does, life just took over for a bit.

We’ve had quite a few changes lately, that as a family we’re trying to get used to and unfortunately North Devon Sensory Explorers took a little bit of a back seat.

Things have been quiet with the business and we almost considered calling it a day, but after some amazing conversations with people over the last few weeks we’ve realised how needed our facility is.

There is very little in North Devon to support those with additional needs, so we’re going to keep trying and hopefully we will be seen and noticed by more!

Everyone deserves the opportunity to explore, learn, thrive and have fun and this is why I opened in the first place.
