📢 GCSE Results Day Reminder! 📢

A quick reminder to all our fantastic Year 11 students and parents/carers: GCSE results will be available this Thursday, 20th August, from 9:00AM.

📍 Collection Point: Concert Hall.📚

All students should enter the school via the Main Reception entrance and will then be directed to the Concert Hall to collect their results.
We look forward to seeing our Year 11 students tomorrow and celebrating their achievements with them.

Important Note: Please remember to bring back any school textbooks you still have at home. We will have a collection point ready for them.

Miss Slesser’s Year 7 mathematicians have been busy creating tiny houses.

They have planned, measured and constructed tiny houses that had a large list of requirements.
They’ve calculated area and perimeter and then made nets to make 3d shapes in order to add furniture.

We are so proud of the way they approached this project and the resulting houses are fantastic. Well done 🏠

Mr Kerrigan: Day five update. We have completed our practice expedition. We got up early and climbed mount Snowdon. We are setting off for home now. A bit tired and looking forward to a nice cold shower.

Wow! We couldn’t be more proud of these absolutely awesome and fearless young women. Go girls! You totally rock!!

On Wednesday the Team Maths Challenge took place consisting of around 50 of our most able mathematicians. They competed in teams over three problem solving tasks supported by our some of our current and future A level mathematicians. The students showed great resilience throughout the morning, with a very tight finish score wise. All the pupils who took part should be very proud of their contribution.

Thank you to Mrs Pepper for organising such a wonderful event for our talented mathematicians.

As you enjoy your summer holidays, remember to stay safe online. Think carefully before chatting with people you do not know and never share personal information such as your full name, address, school, phone number or passwords. If someone online makes you feel uncomfortable, pressured or asks you to keep secrets, stop communicating with them and tell a trusted adult immediately.

Always check your privacy settings on social media and be cautious about what you post, as anything shared online can be difficult to remove completely. Remember that not everyone online is who they claim to be.
Most importantly, trust your instincts.

If something doesn’t feel right, report it, block the person and seek help. Staying aware and making smart choices online will help you enjoy a fun, safe and positive summer. 🌞📱💻

Today’s DofE Gold update:

‘Today’s expedition took us from Llanberis, through a disused slate quarry to the summit of Moel Eilio. We then followed the ridge around to Foel Goch before descending to Llyn Cwellyn and today’s campsite.’
