✅ Understand local flags and warning signs
✅ Research lifeguarded beaches and pools
✅ Identify hazards before getting in

Having trained 24 lifeguards in the last 2 weeks , it’s really important to acknowledge all the important hard work that our existing and new lifeguards do .

Do you already hold a valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)? Interested in training for open water venues? If so, we have a 1 day course running in September which is a ‘bolt on’ qualification designed for existing qualified lifeguards. This practical, hands-on course will equip you with the specialist knowledge and skills required to supervise and respond effectively in open water environments such as lakes, reservoirs, and outdoor swimming venues.

We spent our mornings last week at The Morley Academy talking to years 7-10 about the dangers of open water and how they can help keep themselves and their friends safe as we move towards the start of the summer holidays. We have reached over 1000 pupils over the week, helping spread the important messages of the latest campaign by

It’s been great to use this opportunity to educate our local community, helping them to stay safe especially with all the recent hot weather and the increasing number of tragic incidents involving teenagers and young adults.
