UCAS Discovery Fair

Our sixth form students recently attended the UCAS Discovery Fair, where they engaged with a wide range of universities and apprenticeship providers. The event provided valuable insights into post-18 pathways and gave students the opportunity to ask questions and gather information to support their future decisions.
A highly worthwhile experience for all involved.

Over the past three years, she has consistently demonstrated commitment and compassion by volunteering with Brownies and supporting young people with additional needs at a youth club.

Duke of Edinburgh Volunteering Success

A huge well done to Emily C, Freya R, Lauren J, Sophie P, Poppy B and Josephine C for completing the volunteering section of their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Together, they have contributed an impressive 91 hours of volunteering within the community.

They carried out their volunteering at Broomfield Care Home, Rainbows & Guides, Boydells Dairy Farm, and Great Notley Scouts.

We are incredibly proud of their hard work, commitment and achievement.

Notley High School & Sixth Form - Year 5 School Tour – Intake September 2027

Mr Barrow warmly invites Year 5 parents and carers to visit the school for a guided tour.

This is a wonderful opportunity to explore our school, observe lessons in progress, and learn more about what we offer our students.

Please note that spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you are unable to attend either of these sessions, we will also be hosting an Open Morning on Saturday, 26 September 2026 for parents, carers and prospective students where there will be hands-on activities across a range of subject and speak to teachers and staff from all areas of the school.

A huge well done to our Year 9 rounders team — Erin G, Orin B, Amy A, Molly H, Lucy S, Ruby P, Freya R, Megan G, Daisy A and Olivia S — who competed in the district tournament at Alec Hunter Academy before half term.

After a nervous first game, they went on to win every match and were crowned District Champions 2026. An incredible achievement.

On Thursday 14th May, 30 Year 10 students participated in a day of debating. The students involved made an incredible effort, engaging in a range of political and philosophical debates. The students spent the day developing their skills of argumentation, rebuttal and expanding and developing the reasoning behind an argument. Notably, students were asked to debate and argue positions on subjects at random, so this meant that they were sometimes defending points of view that they personally disagreed with.
